“It’s so big.”
He chuckled. “I’ve had no complaints.”
That was like having a bucket of water thrown over her. She drew away, sliding right off the bed and landing on her ass.
Ouch.
Tears of pain and humiliation filled her eyes as she curled her legs up to her chest and rested her face on her knees.
“Baby? Fuck, are you all right?” Jared lifted her up and settled her on his lap. “Look at me.”
Angie shook her head. If she didn’t look at him perhaps she could pretend that that hadn’t just happened.
“Angie. Look at me. Now.”

That stern voice washed through her and she raised her head. He was staring down at her in concern.
“Hey, did you hurt yourself?” He brushed away her tears. “Where does it hurt? Your bottom?”
She nodded. “But not as much as my pride.”
“Don’t be embarrassed. I was pushing you too much.” Regret filled his face.
“I should leave, Jared.”
His face tightened. “That’s not happening. I know I said you could and if I really thought you wanted that I would allow it. However, I think you’re just scared. That you really want this. Want us.”
“Do you really think this can work?” she whispered, feeling hope fill her. “Us?”
“I know it will work. I will make certain of it. All I need is for the two of you to try. To stop running. To do as I tell you.”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m sure that would make your life much easier . . . if we just did what you told us to do.”
“Yes, exactly.”
Angie shook her head. “I’m not easy.”
“Yes, you’ve told me that.” Jared stood with her in his arms and set her back on the bed before sitting, facing her. His dick was still pressed against his boxers.

“And we also told you that neither are we. Nothing worth having was ever easy, Angie. I’m not asking for easy. I’m just asking that you try.”
“And if I said I didn’t want this?” she asked. “You’d let me go?”
“No. I’d call you a liar, spank your bottom, and lock you in this room until you changed your mind.”
She had to grin.
Only he wasn’t smiling.
“Jared! You wouldn’t!”
“I think you’ll find that I would. Like I’ve said before. I want you and I always get what I want. And North wants you too.”
