“Why would I be? I know how Jared feels about me.”
“North is mine. He will always be mine.”
“I’m not a Daddy Dom,” North said. “But under the right circumstances, I could be a Top.”
Why was he staring at her so intently as he said that? Her breath caught in her lungs.
“Are you thinking about replacing me?” Jared asked lightly.
“No,” North said. “Never.”
“So we’d share you?” she asked Jared.
“Share me?” Jared stared down in amusement. “No, baby, that’s not the way this would work.Wewould shareyou.”
Holy moly.
When North said between them, he’d really meant between them?
She glanced at North.
“I didn’t think you would . . . that you would want that. I didn’t even know that you liked women.”
North tilted his head to the side. “I don’t like women or men. I am only attracted to Jared.”
Oh. Right.
So she’d misunderstood? That was embarrassing.
“But there is something about you . . . something that I want,” North said.
“And do you always get what you want?” she asked.
“No. Not always. Jared said that we have to let you go if that’s what you truly desire. If I got my way, I would just keep you.”
Did he mean forever?
Oh, she was so confused.
Her heart was racing. “This took a very intense turn.”
“You don’t have to do anything that you don’t wish to do,” Jared told her, cupping the side of her face. “But you also shouldn’t deny yourself something if you really want it. Giveyourself to us for one night and if you still want to leave tomorrow, we will let you go.”
She’d always thought she’d wanted ordinary. But now that she was here with the two of them . . . that seemed like the furthest thing from what she desired.
“Do you only want Jared?” North’s words had her whipping toward him. His tone suggested he couldn’t care less about her answer either way.
However, she had a feeling that that wasn’t the case.
Maybe she should try to deny her attraction to North, but she couldn’t hurt North like that.
“I don’t only want Jared,” she told him. “How could I?”
“Maybe because I kidnapped you and held you prisoner,” North suggested. “I am likely the cause of your nightmares and sleepless nights.”
“No, Fergus is the cause of those,” she said. “And before you argue that what you did was similar, it really wasn’t. I’m not saying it was right, because it wasn’t. But you never hurt me physically. In fact, you tried your best to ensure I wasn’t harmed.”
North just gave a small nod of acknowledgment. Which she knew was likely all she would get.
