Obviously, he’s wearing a floor-length black trench coat. The way his ass looks in his fishnets could cause a five-car pile-up.

As we hop off my bike, I mentally tell myself not to go crazy if other guys check out Felix.

Because they will. No doubt about it.

Felix is just as hot as the top sex workers at the club.

Look but don’t touch, assholes.

Now, if they touch Felix? That’s a different story. I instinctively crack my knuckles just thinking about that.

They won’t once they find out he’s with me.

“Boss man and Sassafrass! I didn’t know if you’d come.” Our arrival is met with a bone-crushing hug from Mac.

“Sassafrass?” Felix questions after flexing his back—most likely because Mac made a disk slip with that hug of his.

“The boys had a good laugh at how sassy you were when they lugged you up the stairs your first night here. Then Tobias told us you boys were together, and you’ve been Sassafrass ever since.”

Felix raises a brow and huffs. “Well, I guess it’s better than some other nicknames.”

“It is,” Mac assures him. He motions to me and says, “We call this one Sourpuss most of the time, so Sassafrass definitely beats the shit out of that.”

Felix laughs, and I scowl at Mac. “Fuck off,” I say half-heartedly.

Together, Felix and I make our way downstairs. The music grows louder as we descend, the bass of the industrial techno sending vibrations throughout my body. There are strobe lights everywhere, and it takes a minute for my eyes to adjust.

Hundreds of half-naked people gyrate to the blasting industrial techno. Everyone is wearing some kind of gender-bending attire.

Except for me.

I have nothing against gender-bending—obviously, or Felix wouldn’t be turning me feral right now—but I hate costumes.I’m the one who shows up in all black.

Like I always do.

Felix pushes his ass into my crotch and wraps an arm around my neck. “Ready to dance?”

A gentle glow spreads through my chest, and I lean in to kiss along his neck before turning him to me and kissing his lips. His hands trail along my back before going south and squeezing my butt.

“Well, well, well. We meet again, Felix Hargrove.” Felix and I part and see Tobias.

“The boy who tamed the beast. I’m so glad you could come to my little soiree.” Tobias holds out his hand, but when Felix goes to shake it, Tobias kisses Felix’s. “That’s the last time my lips will ever touch him,” Tobias promises me.

“Good,” I say jokingly.

Tobias puts one arm around me and the other around Felix. “We’ll need to do a proper catch-up soon, but I must mingle, unfortunately.”

We say our goodbyes, and my eyes land on Felix. The light hits the side of his face, highlighting his cheekbones. “You’re so hot, Felix.”

He smiles at the compliment, but then throws himself on me, wrapping his legs around my body. “I need you inside me tonight,” he whispers.

“Yes, you do,” I respond, my whole body throbbing with need.

He smirks and adds, “I need it now.”

Well, then.

I set Felix down and lead him to the private cabins. It’s time to replace that awful memory of hurting him with something much better.
