Westin swallowed hard and looked out the window.
“I’m not lying,” she finally said. “I do feel fine today. It’s just… I have some health issues. Besides this.” She gestured at her face.
“What kind of health issues?” An uncomfortable tightness seized my chest.
“Nothing like officially diagnosed. I get headaches and sometimes I feel dizzy and nauseous. It’s not a big deal.” She mumbled that last part.
I took her hand in mine before I realized what I was doing. “Tell me when you’re not feeling well, alright?”
She nodded, her gaze locked on mine. I realized how close we were to each other. I would barely have to lean forward to brush my lips against hers.
I cleared my throat and pulled away. “We better get you inside or you’ll be late.”
She blinked a few times and leaned back in her seat. “You’ll come in and get breakfast, right?”
“If you want me to.”
“I do.”
“Then I will.”
Westin smiled and started opening her door.
“No,” I growled, reaching across her body. “You wait until I make sure it’s safe. Never get out of the car without my permission.”
She squirmed a little in her seat before she nodded.
I took a moment when I got out of the car to adjust my hard-on. Fuck if her obeying me didn’t get me hard.

WESTIN
Gray had been driving me to and from work for the past three days, and I was completely and utterly obsessed.
I didn’t think I would be interested in an older man, but Gray had this whole silver fox daddy aesthetic I couldn’t stop thinking about… during the day or night. And his scent? Fuck, it was like rainstorms and pine trees and everything moody and earthy.
“You want to go roller skating?” he asked, running his hand over his beard as we stood outside the bakery. I’d just gotten off work and the idea of returning to the empty house again was too much to bear. I needed some excitement… and maybe I wanted more time with Gray.
“You would think I was asking you to case a joint based on your expression,” I huffed.
Gray’s lips twitched and my heart skipped a beat. If this man ever actually smiled, I was pretty sure it would be too much for my heart to handle.
“What do you know about casing a joint?”
I rolled my eyes. “What, like it’s hard? Anyway, I just want to go roller skating over at those new apartments on Magnolia. They have a big, paved parking lot. You don’t have to come with me.”
Gray rolled his eyes, muttering something under his breath. “Can you even roller skate?”
“I’m basically a professional,” I deadpanned. “Please. Let’s just go. We’ll have fun.”
“How’re you feeling?” he asked, dropping his voice low.
My cheeks flushed. I still felt a bit embarrassed that I’d told him about my health issues, but I lapped up his concern for me.
“I’m—”
Gray raised his brows as if daring me to sayfine.
