“I’m just saying, what kind of name is Gray?” Liam grumbled as we walked to the car. He’d finally put me down, allowing me to walk as long as I stayed by his side.

“Gray is his last name,” I said, peering around Liam’s massive chest to where Gray was pushing a cart filled to the brim with clothes, blankets, and road trip snacks.

“What’s your first name?” Henry asked, the cart he was pushing just as full.

“Atticus,” Gray responded, a scowl on his face. I was beginning to think Gray had RSF: resting scowl face.

“That’s fucking worse,” Liam muttered.

I smacked his chest. “Don’t be rude. Also, how are you making fun of Gray’s name but not Bear’s?” I turned to Bear, who was pulling up the rear with yet another shopping cart. I’dtried to tell them this was more stuff than we could even bring in the car, but they hadn’t listened.

Liam snorted. “Bear’s a nickname.”

“Well, I figured that much,” I said, rolling my eyes. “What’s your real name, Bear?”

“Not telling,” Bear said, coming to a stop by Henry’s car. “That’s classified information.”

“Classified by who?” I asked, pulling away from Liam.

“Me,” Bear said.

“But Liam knows it?” I asked, indignant.

“He knew me back in the day,” Bear said with a shrug. “We grew up in the same neighborhood.”

“But I’m—” I started, cutting myself off before I saidyour omega. I couldn’t let myself think like that. There was no guarantee any of this would last. “But I want to know,” I said, covering my slip.

“Tough luck, baby,” Bear said, punctuating his words with a smack on my ass.

My mouth fell open in outrage. “You’re not serious. You’re really not going to tell me?”

He just grinned as he started loading our bags into the trunk.

“I bet I can find out,” I said, crossing my arms.

“You can try, but you won’t succeed,” he said, sounding way too fucking confident. The challenge took hold of me—I never backed down from a dare.

Henry hugged me from behind, leaning forward to kiss my cheek. “Alphas, am I right? I’ll tell you my full name anytime you want, darling.”

Bear rolled his eyes as he finished loading the car. He tried to pull me into his arms, but I clung to Henry. So instead, he just pressed his body against mine and lowered his lips to my ear. “I hope you have fun playing the brat, babydoll, because I’m certainly going to have fun punishing you for it later.”

Then he grabbed the cart, whistling as he pushed it to the cart return.

Henry and I locked eyes. “Holy shit,” he said. I could feel his growing hard-on pressed against my thigh.

“No kidding.” I shifted awkwardly as slick drenched my underwear.

Henry groaned, pressing his face to the top of my hair. “How do I want you all the time?” he muttered.

My chest inflated with happiness. I caressed his face, running my fingers down his beard.

“Right back at you,” I murmured, pulling him in for a kiss.

Henry’s smile was radiant when we pulled away, and it didn’t fade the entire drive home. We kept sneaking looks at each other through the rearview mirror, and it felt like the cutest flirting I’d ever engaged in.
