The line appears across the screen.

Straight toward Los Angeles.

Toward the infrastructure control hubs.

“Downtown corridor,” he says.

“That’s where the response systems converge.”

Which means that’s where the Architect wants to be when Phase Three activates.

I grab my jacket.

“Then we don’t let him reach it.”

Cyclone nods.

“What’s Boone’s ETA?”

“Forty minutes.”

Raven checks his watch.

“We’ll be in position in twenty.”

Perfect.

Because if the convoy hits the freeway first—

The entire situation becomes a lot harder.

Cyclone glances at the map again.

“Boone mentioned something else.”

“Second signal.”

Gideon freezes.

“What kind of second signal?”

“Another command trace.”

Raven slowly sets the rifle case down.
