“None of your joking insults tonight. Just tell us what happened,” Azazel told him.
“Fine.” Loki sighed and flopped down on his bed. “After the unicorn…”
“His name is Orion, use it,” Uriel snapped.
Loki looked at Azazel, who didn’t respond.
“Fine,Orion,” he stressed. “He got Uriel’s text. We dug up where Stanley Paul was. We found him in a refurbished warehouse, along with a bunch of hunters who were armed to the gills. After me, Kayne, and Orion beat the shit out of them, we found incriminating evidence of drug deals and such, so we had Alistaire and his people take care of it. But let me tell you, those bastards are lucky I didn’t have all of my powers. None of them would be alive. How dare hunters enter my territory? I’m the only one allowed to cause trouble in my city.”
“Is he for real?” Uriel whispered to Azazel.
“This is Loki when he cares about something, but I don’t get the feeling this is only for Valleywood,” Azazel answered.
“Wow, this is just weird,” Uriel mumbled, taking a bite of an apple.
“Okay, you two, take your lovey-dovey shit upstairs to your bedroom. I’m tired—oh, and leave the fruit.” Loki shooed them out of his borrowed space, and neither Azazel nor Uriel were in the mood to argue.
Once they got to their bedroom, Azazel pulled him into his embrace and whispered in his ear. “I love you, Uriel.”
Uriel turned in his arms and looked up at his mate. “I love you too.”
“So how about we start making those kids?” Azazel said.
Uriel huffed, then chuckled. “Okay.”
Azazel smiled, then bent down to capture his lips. Uriel opened himself up to his lover, letting him deep inside of him, as their love overflowed, strengthening their bond.
EPILOGUE
“Cut!” Director Fang yelled.“That scene has passed. Blue and Kristoph, come and take a look at the replay.”
Uriel wrapped his arms around Kristoph as they walked over to the monitor, watching the scene they’d just acted out. They finally started filming the pilot ofThe Traveller.
The first scene they shot was after the main character, Atlas Marlow, had just died from a terminal illness and came into contact with the universe, in child form. Uriel’s character was frantic and visibly shaken by his own death, even though he knew it was coming. His character wasn’t ready to die. He had hoped that the doctors would have discovered a cure or some medicine to prolong his life.
Kristoph, on the other hand, was calm and allowed Uriel’s character the moment he needed before he explained the second chance he would be given. Uriel had to admit Kristoph acted well, leaving him impressed. Uriel knew that he had to make sure Azazel nurtured their son’s career path.
It had been some time since they took down Micha and his plans to kill Dio. Except for the magic, Valleywood remained unaffected, and the citizens were completely unaware of the hunter situation. Uriel felt proud that he and his friends had stopped things before it happened.
Uriel was ready to move on to his next body-double job, however he had to wait a few more months since Blue was still healing. He was very frustrated that he wasn’t healing as quickly as he’d hoped, but there was a good side to things. Benito was dead, and the information that Orion had found incriminating the LaCava family in killing Blue’s family put those responsible, who were still alive, behind bars. Blue was still healing from his car accident. He had a couple more weeks before his casts would be removed and a couple more months of physical therapy before he could come back to work. Uriel wasn’t too hard-pressed, he was getting to work with Kristoph.
As for his other son, Uriel officially met Donald’s adopted parents. After Uriel explained everything to them, they welcomed him, Kristoph, and Azazel with open arms. Jacqueline had even become Kristoph’s fan after learning he was going to be acting in a new TV series. Uriel’s family was moving forward, and he couldn’t stop smiling.
“He’s good,” Synder said next to him.
Uriel hummed and nodded.
Synder and Orion had switched positions within the company. Since Synder was sporting a cute baby bump, Orion was promoted to assistant head investigator. Uriel had been anticipating the day that Orion would fully move from being Kristoph’s manny to working full-time in the company.
Uriel and Azazel agreed to become responsible parents and watch over their child more. However, they'd employed a demon who would replace Orion’s manny and bodyguard duties.
“Okay, everyone, let’s set up for the next scene,” Director Fang said. “Blue and Kristoph, take an hour’s rest. We’ll be working longer today.”
“Yes,” Kristoph and Uriel said together.
“Hey, watch the kid while I go be with my man,” Uriel said.
“Go,” Synder smiled. “I’ll call you when it’s time to come back.”
