Alistaire looked down at the wrapped box in his hand then held it up to Crevan’s face. He smiled when his lover’s eyes widened, and he could see the anticipation shining all over his face.

“I can’t wait to see what else you got me.” Crevan grabbed the box from his hand and ripped the wrapping off like a small child receiving his first gift. He gasped when he opened the box and saw the gold pocket watch. On the cover was the McBain family crest with his name engraved underneath.

“This…” Crevan started to speak but Alistaire stopped him.

“Open it.”

Nodding Crevan flipped open the top and gasped. “It’s a compass.”

“Read the engraving,” Alistaire instructed.

Crevan looked up at him and then back down to the compass. “Whenever you feel lost use this to let your heart guide you to my waiting arms.”

Tears welled in Crevan’s eyes as he looked up at Alistaire. “I lo...I like this.” He pressed their lips together. “Thank you.”

Alistaire circled Crevan’s waist, pulling him back and deepening their kiss. His hands slowly roamed his lover’s and just as he was about to grope Crevan’s ass, someone cleared their throat breaking the moment he was trying to have with his mate. Separating from their kiss Alistaire growled, turning to tell whoever interrupted them to fuck off only to stop seeing the entire Hannigan clan staring at them. Aria had her hands covering Ava’s eyes.

“Grandma Aria, I’ve seen them kiss before,” Ava said trying to move Aria’s hand from over her eyes.

“That may be. However, I felt they were about to enter into dangerous territory.” Aria glared at Alistaire and Crevan sending a clear messageto save it for the bedroom.

“Grandma Aria, I know about sex. No need to act so old-fashioned about such things.”

“Old-fashioned,” Aria huffed. She removed her hand from Ava’s face. “It seems we must have a talk about just how much you know, young lady.” Aria stood pulling Ava up with her. Aria then walked over to Genesis who was sitting up with the help of her play gym and picked her up. “Come along Moressa, it seems we need to have a special conversation with young Ava.”

‘Wait, why are you taking my daughter. She’s too young for that kind of conversation,” Crevan said from his position still on top of Alistaire.

“She’s never too young to learn certain things.” Aria grabbed Ava’s hand and dragged her out of the room with her.

Moressa groaned, then scowled at Alistaire and Crevan. “You two owe me big time.”

“What do you want?” Crevan said.

“Babysitting privileges for an entire year,” Moressa demanded.

“Deal,” Alistaire answered before Crevan could say anything.

“Are you sure about this?” Crevan said, looking up at him.

“Very,” Alistaire answered assuredly.

“Very well.” Moressa got up from the couch with the help of Corbin and Zev then walked out the family room to join Ava and Aria.

“Well that was interesting,” Corbin said.

Barret chuckled. “Just give her some time, she’s just happy to have a girl living in the house. We wanted a girl. But after Crevan, my Aria wasn’t able to have any more kids. The excitement will settle down after a bit.”

“I hope you’re right,” Crevan said worriedly.

“I wouldn’t worry about it,” Alistaire said. “Ava doesn’t seem to mind either.”

“You’re right,” Crevan said, sitting up. He smiled looking down at the compass. “You are full of surprises Mister McBain-Vale. First the case of wine and now the compass.”

Alistaire stared at Crevan feeling a bit puzzled. “Case of wine? What wine?”

“Don’t play coy with me. Each bottle of wine must have cost you over twenty thousand dollars. I never thought you’d buy me something like that and for so much.” Crevan chuckled. “Not to mention how cute your message was.”

“I didn’t send you any wine,” he told Crevan.
