“Such a polite boy. And none of that Miss Bella stuff. You’re my son’s mate, call me Mama.” She walked over and took Scott by the arm. "Come on back into the kitchen. I’ll fix you up something nice so we can talk.”
“As you wish.” He brought her hand to his lips, kissing the back of it, making her giggle and blush.
Quintus shook his head, smiling as he watched his mother, sister, and Scott walk behind the counter and into the kitchen. He knew he would be completely forgotten about when he’d told them who was his mate. And by the looks of it, Arianna wasn’t the only one with the schoolgirl crush.
“He’s powerful,” his uncle said, coming to stand beside him.
“Yeah, he’s Vladimir Dracul the third’s grandson.”
“No, my little nephew. He is stronger than the lord of vampires. I feel the strength of the gods coming from him. You have picked a good mate to watch over you.” Mohe patted him on shoulders then walked away to join the others in the kitchen.
Quintus was left standing in the middle of the empty diner wondering what the hell his uncle meant by the strength of the gods.
Gods, Mohe hasn’t changed since I was a kid. He still talks in riddles.

“Are you ready?”Scott asked Quintus.
“Yeah, I got my pie I’m ready to go home so we can finally be alone.”
Scott circled an arm around Quintus’s waist. “It’s been a couple of days since I’ve spanked your ass red.”
“Yes, please,” Quintus said, licking his lips.
“Then let’s go to my place.”
“I’m going to need to go home sooner or later. And we need to figure out our living situation.”
“I know, but not yet.” Scott leaned into kiss Quintus’s sweet lips when a familiar voice stopped him.
“This is where I fucking run into you?”
Scott hoped he was wrong at who it was as he turned to see the person was blocking Quintus’s view. He groaned that it was mister“I need to punch every alpha because I think I’m a badass omega.” After dealing with Loki, he was not in the mood to deal with another of his family members.
“Please tell me I’m seeing a fucking ghost.”
“If you couldn’t kill me when we were kids, what the hell makes you think you’re seeing a fucking ghost?” The other man glared at him. So, not a hallucination.
“Do you know this person?” Quintus asked, stepping around him.
“Unfortunately,” Scott drawled. “He’s one of my pain in the ass cousins.”
“I didn’t know you had family in town.”
“Funny,” Kingston said, raising a brow. “One’s been living in town with him this entire time. Although, Katarina’s very distant in blood relation. I’m Scott’s smarter, more attractive cousin.”
Quintus stepped forward to introduce himself, but Scott grabbed him around his waist and pulled him flushed against his chest.
“Don’t touch him,” Scott said, trying to keep the smile off his face. “You might get cooties.”
“Cooties!” Kingston shouted. “Are you serious? How old are you?”
“Could you lower your voice? This is a family environment,” Scott staged whispered, plus he was trying to keep his cousin in check. Kingston always made a big deal about even the smallest things.
“I take it you two don’t get along?” the big blond guy who was standing beside King asked.
“How could we?” Kingston said. “If I told you about all the shit, he did to me as a kid, it would curl your straight hair.”
