Chapter Four
“Fucking alpha and his stupid pheromones,” Winter grumbled. “Who the hell does he think he is?”
Winter was so damn frazzled he wasn’t thinking straight.Fucking sexy ass alpha! No, he’s not sexy, he’s an asshole.
Winter might have acted unaffected earlier by the alpha’s dominating pheromones, when in truth he wanted to fall to his knees with his ass in the air and neck bared, hoping the man would fuck him deep and hard. It was only his anger that gave him the strength to refuse his lustful desire.
“And here I thought we could at least be friends,” came the deep voice.
Winter turned and scowled. “Do you always go around listening to people arguing with themselves?” He looked better after taking a shower. Not that he wasn’t good looking before.
“I was concerned,” Creed said walking into the kitchen.
“As you can see, I’m fine.” He went to walk over to the sink and hissed realizing he’d stepped on a broken glass that he’d missed while cleaning up. “Shit.”
He lifted up his foot seeing blood staining the floor. Winter loved walking around bare feet, but he was regretting that decision at the moment. Before he could say anything, arms wrapped around his waist, easily lifting him up off the ground. Raising his head, his gaze connected with pleasing deep gray ones that made his brain completely short circuit.
“I think I’ve found a way to shut you up.”
“Huh?” Winter was distracted by the man’s delectable mouth.
Gods, what did he just say?
“Where is the first aid kit?” Creed asked.
“What?”
“You’re bleeding.”
“Am I?” He was thoroughly confused.
“Yeah you are,” whispered the sweet seductive voice that seemed to wash over him causing goosebumps all over his body. Winter was placed on the counter, but he still felt as if he was floating. “First aid kit, where is it?”
“Um…in the bathroom I think.”
“All right, wait here I’ll be back.”
Winter watched as the alpha walked out of the kitchen and he was able to breathe.
What the holy fuck is happening to me?
One minute he was cursing Creed to high heaven, and the next thing he knew he was in the man’s arms. He looked around the kitchen remembering that he’d kept a first aid kit on top of the refrigerator. He was about to get off the counter when the alpha returned along with his hypnotizing presence.
“I didn’t see one in the bathroom.”
“You went into my bedroom?” That’s not what he meant to say, but he was trying his best to not fall prey to the alphas’ dominating scent again.
“I figured that’s where you meant. Wait what do you mean your bedroom? Isn’t this Richard’s house?”
“Why would you think that? This is my house.”
“I just assumed with all of the baby stuff here, and the pictures on the wall that this was Richard’s home.”
“I…” Winter deflated, unsure of what he was going to say. He was tired of arguing with a man he’d just met.
Anyone would assume his home belonged to Richard and Caroline. A couple of days after their funeral, he’d taken down some of his decorative pictures and replaced them with photos of his friends to remind him of happier times.
“Actually, I just remembered I have one on top of the refrigerator. Sorry for making you go upstairs.”
