Chapter Seven

Winter slowly leaned up, pressing his back to Creed’s chest. He moaned when his alpha’s knot rubbed against his prostate. He reached up and gripped the back of his alpha’s neck, turning his head for a sloppy kiss.

Every nerve in his body tingled, and even though they’d both orgasmed, Winter wanted more. He craved to feel his mate’s knot fucking him until he became completely undone. Creed ground against him, showing that he wanted more as well. He cupped Creed’s lightly bearded cheek, deepening their kiss.

“You are not only mouthy but very delectable,” Creed told him when their mouths separated.

“They are my best qualities,” Winter moaned when his mate reached around and fondled his balls.

“I disagree,” Creed told him. “But let’s leave that for another time. Right now, the only sound I want to hear from your pretty lips is more begging for me to fuck you all night long.”

Not one to disappoint, Winter made his requests known while Creed fucked him once more in the kitchen, leaving no room for him to complain and some pleasant memories.

“Wantto tell me why the police called me?”

Winter raised his head and looked at Creed. They’d finally made it to the bedroom after making love in the kitchen twice, and in the shower, before making love in bed. Winter was going to be sore the next day, but he didn’t mind in the least.

“I needed to have someone identify me when the police burst into Richard’s home.”

Winter sat up, looking down at his mate. “What happened?”

“Yeah, when I got to the house and was about to use the key you gave me, I noticed the door was opened. I heard noise coming from upstairs. After going upstairs, I saw some guy going through the files in Richard’s office. I ran, tackled the guy, and that’s when the cops showed up.”

“Who was the guy? What did he want?”

“I don’t know. Do you know if Richard had any enimies?”

Winter didn’t need to think about it. “No, but I also never paid attention to Richard’s business. Caroline and I ran with the same group of people. The only person in Richard’s circle I know is Jarrod.”

“That makes things complicated. The guy lawyered up the second the cops put the cuffs on him.”

“That’s weird. Maybe the guy was looking for the combination to the safe in Richard’s office.”

“Richard has a safe?” Creed asked bunching up the pillows behind his head.

Winter nodded. “Yeah, it came with the house, but I doubt he ever put anything in it. He put up the large picture covering it. Caroline and I agreed it was the ugliest thing we’d ever seen. We tried to get Richard to throw it out, but for some reason he liked it.”

“I’m going to have to check it the next time I go back. I still don’t think I can live there.”

“Unless you know the combination, you won’t be able to.”

“Maybe. But knowing my brother, when it comes to things like that, he liked to keep it simple.”

“You went to see Richard’s lawyer too, right?”

“Yeah, I signed the paperwork needed to take over Richard’s share of the company.”

“Have you figured what you’re going to with your half of the company?”

“No, but whatever I do I’ll have to talk to Richard’s partner. Tell me about him.”

“Who Jarrod?”

“Yeah.”

“Um…he’s a good guy. I met him not long after Caroline and Richard met each other. He was with me that night at the hospital.” Winter left out a key part that he and Jarrod slept together not long after they met.

“You slept with him,” Creed said.
