“Good, even the morning sickness has calmed down a bit,” Ren answered with a smile.

“Morning sickness,” Sirius mumbled still looking a bit shocked.

“Hey, Doc, are you all right?” Ren asked no longer smiling, but concern was showing on his face. “You seem a bit off today.”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine I just need to…” he started backing away towards the door. “Um…I need to…I just…”

Sirius was gone before he or Ren could say anything.

“Okay, what the hell just happened?” Ren asked.

“I have no idea,” Alphonso said absentmindedly. He looked at Ren. “What do you know about him?”

“Not much really, all I can tell you is that he likes my crepes even if he was hesitant to try them.”

Alphonso hummed, a bit worried about Sirius. He wanted to know everything about Sirius and especially why he ran out of the place like his ass was on fire.

“Daddy, where’d Mommy go?”

Alphonso looked at his daughter who was looking at the empty doorway. Tears welled in the corner of her eyes, and he had no idea what was going on with her. That was the second time in less than an hour that she mentioned something about her mother. Ren snickered causing him to look at the man.

“What’s so funny?”

“I could be wrong, but I think she’s calling Sirius ‘Mommy’.”

Alphonso’s eyes widened as he slowly panned to his daughter who was staring at him with puppy dog eyes.

Could she be feeling the connection between us after one meeting? No, that’s not possible. Or is it? And why would she call him “Mommy”?
