“Lonely without my two favorite girls,” he responded.
Monique was staring directly at Cordell with eyes that weren’t tired like he’d seen her earlier, and Alphonso knew her man was gazing at her with the same lust and desire. Hell, he could smell it. Slowly and without saying a word, he grabbed his coat off the hook and backed away from them, making his escape out the door. He was pretty sure they wouldn’t miss his presence.
Getting in his car, Alphonso felt a bit of jealousy that he didn’t have what his cousins had with their mates. They wanted each other with just one look.
I wonder what would it be like to have someone look at me with so much lust?

Sirius still couldn’t believeit. For two days he’d been trying to grasp the notion of male pregnancies. Truthfully, he shouldn’t be surprised that it could happen considering the world he was born into.
I’m a witch for god’s sake, so a guy getting pregnant shouldn’t be the craziest thing I’ve heard, and it certainly won’t be the last.
But it was going to take some time to wrap his mind around the concept. He felt as if he was in his own episode of the Twilight Zone with all that was coming at him. When Sirius had asked her how they got pregnant, she gave him the ‘are you kidding me’ expression. He held back from asking where the hell did the baby come out of. Deep down, he already knew the answer.
Gods, that must fucking hurt.He clenched his butt cheeks together just thinking about it.With my luck, I’d end up giving birth to the kid with the biggest head.
Before he left Calista’s office, she dropped another bomb on him. He was starting to get the impression she said things just to see his reaction. He was getting his own department as the head of shifter obstetrics. There was so much he had to learn when it came to male pregnancies. He knew how to deliver a baby, that was the easy part in his opinion. He’d done it countless times in the emergency room.
Why the fuck didn’t, I know about this before? Why would my mother hide something so important from me?All omega born males were able to get pregnant. “It’s not fair,” he mumbled to himself. Why can’t an alpha or beta get pregnant too? What makes them so damn special?
As a doctor, he was excited about the new discovery, but as a man, he was scared as hell. He was an omega which meant he could have gotten pregnant the numerous times he had unprotected sex.
Maybe it only happens with mates? Then again, I could be wrong. Witches are human with something a bit extra. But still, we have mates like everyone else.
According to his mother, his magic would recognize his mate before he and would start the mating process by pulling the two together. She called it bewitching magic. The spell affects both the witch and their mate pulling them into an enchanted haze for some time. As a result, things happen quickly between the two, before they are able to grasp what is happening. The stronger the witch, the deeper the bond between mates are.
“She told me all of that why not about male pregnancies,” he said sarcastically. “Fuck, and now I must look like a crazy person, talking to myself.”
Spotting a bench, he sat down, ignoring the cold metal and the snow that had started to fall. He started reasoning with himself that maybe he was seriously overreacting. Not only that, he didn’t have to worry about getting pregnant when he didn’t have a mate. He doubted he’d find him anytime soon. Sirius had thought about having children. He figured once he found his forever mate they would adopt when the time came. But after just learning that he could be the one to carry the baby, he wasn’t sure how to feel. He rested a hand to his flat stomach.
Can I really do it? Won’t it feel weird? Fuck, I might be overthinking this. If it ever happens, it will be natural, like breathing.
He was pulled from his thoughts when something, or rather someone, bumped into his leg. He looked over at to what it was, and his gaze connected with the most adorable green eyes accompanied by the chubbiest cheeks he’d ever seen.
“Hello, there,” he said without thinking.
“Mommy,” the little one said then gave him a bright smile.
“Um…I’m not sure where your mommy is,” Sirius said looking around then back to the child. He couldn’t tell if the child was a boy or girl with the bulky black winter coat, matched with white knit gloves and hat. “Maybe we should go find her.”
“Tamia Vale, you silly little girl, how many times have I told you not to run away from me?”
Sirius snapped his gaze away from the child when he heard the deep baritone voice followed by an equally handsome man with dark hair and a neatly trimmed beard. The closer the man got he saw dazzling green eyes that matched the little person standing beside him. A feeling rose up inside and settled in the depths of his soul, and he felt as if his body was vibrating when he hadn’t moved an inch. There was also something familiar about the other man as if they’d met before in a past life.
“Daddy.”
The little one squealed and ran to the man who caught her easily hoisting her into the air.
“Daddy, look over there,” she said pointing in his direction.
“What do you want me to look at, you little scamper.”
“Mommy,” she said again.
Sirius noticed the smile from the man’s face fell, and a part of his heart broke getting the impression that he’d lost someone he loved. Her mother perhaps.
“How about we say thank you to the man that found you, and then I’ll take you to get some hot chocolate,” Tamia’s father said changing the subject and distracting the child. He walked over, and Sirius stood to his feet. “Thank you for finding her. I’m sorry if she pulled you away from something important. I stopped to look at something, and she slipped away from me. I’m Alphonso Vale, by the way, and this little one his Tamia Vale.” He extended his hand for a shake, without thinking Sirius took it, and Alphonso gasped.
