“You can use this one,” Lucas told him.

“I don’t need a bedroom just to brush my teeth and wash my face,” Tucker stated.

Lucas waved him off. “I figured you’d want to take a shower, and I can let you borrow something to wear. You’re roughly the same height and size as Tyler, and I know he left some clothes here.”

“Why do I get the feeling I’m being kidnapped for the rest of the day?” Tucker smiled at the end of his statement.

“Zoi and I decided we like you, so we’re keeping you to ourselves for the day, right, Zoi?” Lucas chuckled when Zoi’s curls bobbed up and down as she nodded and giggled as if he’d said something funny. “Got a problem with that?”

“What if I say I do?”

In truth, Tucker didn’t have a problem with sticking around for the day. All that was waiting for him was an empty hotel room and paperwork that he was trying to put off for as long as possible.

“Then we would try to convince you on the benefits of sticking around,” Lucas chuckled, and Tucker found that he enjoyed hearing the sound.

“Okay, I will take you both up on your offer to stay for the rest of the day,” he said looking down at Zoi who was still holding onto his fingers and looking up at him.

“Good,” he said nodding. “Hear that, Zoi? Uncle Tucker is going to spend the day with us again.”

“Yay,” Zoi cheered and started jumping around, curls bouncing all over her tiny face. “Uncle Tucker stay?” she continued. When she said his name, it sounded like "Twcker" instead of Tucker. It was the liveliest he’d ever seen the little girl. It had him wondering what he did to have her show him such affection.

“What did you do to my daughter?” Lucas asked him; there wasn’t any anger behind his question.

“She simply knows a good guy when she meets one,” Tucker chuckled.

“Yeah, yeah,” Lucas said as he reached a hand out to her. “Come on, baby girl, let’s go get Uncle Tuck something to wear.” Zoi ran over to him, and Lucas picked her up resting her on one of his hips. “There’s a brand-new toothbrush in the drawer to the right along with toothpaste. Also, there’s body wash in the bathroom and freshly cleaned washrags and towels warming on the rack.”

“Why do I get the feeling you had this all planned out from the beginning?” Tucker asked.

“I didn’t actually, but Rebecca and I were used to having people stay over and kept the guest rooms stocked,” Lucas explained. Tucker heard the sadness in his voice when he said his late wife’s name.

“I wish I werejust as prepared as you are,” Tucker chuckled. “But then again, no one's ever stayed at my place.”

“Well, I tell you what, after the next family dinner, Zoi and I will stay at your place.”

He turned and walked away not giving Tucker a chance to object. Lucas Hamilton was something else, he was bossy and seemed to think that Tucker needed to be taken care of even if he wasn’t saying it with words. Smiling to himself, Tucker entered the bedroom and went to take his shower.

* * *

Lucas knockedon the bedroom door and waited a couple of heartbeats before entering. He heard the shower going as he entered the bedroom. Setting the clothes on the bed, he was about to leave but stopped when he heard Tucker groan, he looked in the direction of the bathroom, the door was open.

If he stepped a little to the left, he'd be able to see a silhouetteof Tucker's wet rippling muscles. He was about to step to the left and froze for a second when the shower was shut off. He pulled himself together and got out of the bedroom closing the door quietly before Tucker could see him. He didn't want to think about what he was about to do: spy on Tucker while he was in the shower. He'd never wanted to see another man naked before.

So why Tucker? Fuck, I sound like some needy idiot. Hopefully, Tucker won’t see me that way. I just ran out of the bedroom like a scared kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

The night before, after putting Zoi to bed, he’d gone back to the family room and found Tucker asleep. He didn’t have the heart to wake him up and simply turned off the television, got a blanket and covered him up before going to bed as well. It was a spur-of-the-moment thought to offer, well demand, that Tucker spend the rest of the day with them.

Lucas hadn’t realized how much he needed the adult company, someone other than his brother around him, until sitting and talking with Tucker the other night. It could also be that Zoi liked him and was talking more with him than she had with anyone else. She seemed so comfortable with Tucker as if she’d known him for a long time.Maybe I’m overthinking things. He was developing a friendship with Tucker, something he’d lost over the past couple of years. After he’d met and married Rebecca, he’d stopped hanging out with friends he’d known for a while.

Rebecca was all he could think about once he got serious about her. He’d stop playing the field and went from being a playboy to a man in love. With Rebecca, he experienced what it felt like to be in love for the first time in his life. They had a connection he hadn’t had with any other woman he’d been with before her. Lucas didn’t think there was another person who he’d find that same level of connection with again.

Lucas turned when he heard Zoi’s feet thundering into the kitchen before she connected with his legs. He looked up when Tucker came into the kitchen looking and smelling refreshed. His blond hair was still wet but slicked back. Tyler’s old T-shirt looked much better on Tucker than it did on his brother. It was a bit tighter around his shoulders and stretched across his muscular chest and arms but hung loosely down to his waist where the hem of the shirt stopped.

He could see the outline of Tucker’s cock, the man must be packing something powerful the way it hung to the side.Women must walk bowlegged after they leave his bed at how big it looks. The mental image of wanting to see the man naked came back to him.Shit, did I just think that?

“What are you thinking about that has your face so red?” Tucker asked causing Lucas to snap his head up meeting the man’s eyes.

“Nothing,” he rushed out.
