Gianna wondered if these two were connected somehow and needed to be together. There were three doors, though. Was there a third guy in the mix here?

Her mind delved into ideas. Was this a haram thing? And would she mind that?Well, if it was like one of those reverse harem books she's read, probably not.

Though Tina and her grump would have to stop.

She shouldn't be like that.Tina was one of Gianna's closest friends.A relationship that started out because of proximity and wound up being exactly what each other needed.Gianna needed someone like Tina, to remind her that people did care about others.Tina needed Gianna to remind her that she had to live for herself once in a while. It was a balance.

Tina's concerns were valid. She was a scientist after all.

Gianna was the one who lived in fantasy land all the time.

"So where do we live?"Tina asked.

"This is mine," Marcin said, gesturing to the one in the middle.

Gianna took a couple steps toward the door."Well, let's check it out, then," she said to Marcin.

At that moment, another huge male came out of the other room. His hair was longer, and he absolutely looked like he was not taking any crap from anyone.

He froze and looked over Gianna and Tina.

Marcin stepped closer to her.

Right behind this third male came a female, and from what Gianna saw, she looked pretty much human, like she and Tina.Same general size.No obvious alien markings. Her hair was pulled back in a tight bun, and Gianna immediately thought she was security or military, due to her uniform.

"Solkan, you get your rear back here.I'm not done."

Solkan, the new male, turned back to the female."I do not have to do anything you say."

"Oh yes, you do!"She reached out for him.

He swatted her arm away.

Kolvin and Marcin both grabbed Solkan, the two controlling the movements of the third. One had each side of him and pulled him away from her.

"Rhimodians, stop," the woman cried out."Let him go.I'll handle him."

"He is beyond--" Kolvin started.

"Vinka, he cannot--"

She held up her hand."You mean well, Kolvin. You too, Marcin.Go.Take care of your new mates.Ineed to handle Solkan."

Marcin said something to Solkan, but Gianna couldn't tell what it was.Whatever it was, though, Solkan did not like it.

They released Solkan and he followed the woman back into the other apartment. As the door shut, she could hear the female say "I don't want to fight with you about this, but--"

"What was that?"Gianna asked.

Marcin shrugged."I have no idea. The two of them have been fighting since we left."

"Left where?"Tina asked.

"Left to come here," Kolvin said.

"She's in a uniform. Is she some kind of policing agent?"

"Military.Terran Empire military."
