"He's an alien! We're not the same species!"

"So what? They look like they have all the same parts."

The other male, the one that had the smile, came forward, his eyes twinkling."We are available for physical inspection if that will ease your concern."

Gianna raised her eyebrow."Well, maybe I want an inspection."

The male nodded."At your convenience."

"I thought you said they were looking forward to meeting us?"Kolvin stated.

Gianna smiled. He was perfect for Tina. She bet anything he was super practical too.

Re-lee smiled."I believe the ladies were not expecting you both to be so large, comparatively. The males from their homeworld are not such tall figures."

"No, they are not," Gianna said."And we're not complaining."She winked at them.

Tina rolled her eyes."What is wrong with you?Why aren't you completely freaking out over this? This is not how alien contact is supposed to go!And certainly not with me."She shook her head."I cannot believe that we are here."

"That's the difference. You cannot believe it," Gianna said."You always have to have evidence and proof and pounds of research to validate everything.By the time anything gets worked out, the situation is over. The guy is gone."

Tina froze."I--"

Gianna put her hands on her hips."Do you realize how amazing this is?You're standing here, with life.Life beyond our solar system! You should want to know what this is.Study.Test.Learn.All of it."

"How do I know it's not just a dream, and we're not drowning on the floor of the cave?"

"Then this is way better than that, don't you think?"

"It's like little condos,"Gianna said as they entered their mate's residence. She'd thought they would all be living in the same place, the way that her mate had made it sound.

Marcin.

His name was Marcin.

She might call him Marc for short.Just because.

Well, if things went well, anyway.

They'd introduced themselves in the medical bay.The bit of a smile he wore showed a bit more enthusiasm for the program than the one who was mated with Tina.Of course, Tina was too worried about everything. It had taken a bit longer to convince her to not hop on the next dimensional portal back to earth, but they did.

Even her mate didn't seem that fond of anything. He seemed to match her mood, anyway.Maybe they would work out well.

Only time would tell. And if Tina would stop being stubborn.

Gianna, though, liked Marcin. After all, he was absolutely gorgeous.Of that there was no denying. If she only based it on the looks, she'd won the lottery. He wasn't that far from what she imagined her aliens were built like in her books.

Large.

Sexy.

He'd just need to have multicolored skin.Marcin, however, had brown skin, where she could see.The metal he wore on his forearms was interesting too, she noticed that they both wore it, so it must be a cultural thing.

Did she still think this was a dream? She had no idea. But it was real enough to her.She was determined to enjoy herself.regardless of Tina's worries.

If she woke up in a mental hospital, then so be it.

The apartment entry area was like a little portico, columns separating doors she assumed were each apartment--they were numbered as well.
