Here though? It didn't seem to bother her.
Nothing seemed to bother her, really.Maybe the inoculations gave her happy juice, because even their white eyes just made her grin.
The first one had a hard grimace on his face, framed by facial stubble that was immaculately groomed.
The other had a bit of a smile on his face, his hair combed back.
Gianna was immediately drawn to the one with the smile. Both he and grumpy pants--he had to be for Tina, she seemed to have the same expression on her face--wore white shirts and trousers. Not cut like fashions on Earth, just utilitarian.Basic.They covered things, without revealing too much.Rather, they probably weren't supposed to reveal too much.
The pants though. They framed great looking legs.Even through the pants, Gianna could see the muscles that matched proportionately with the broad shoulders and the height.
They gave gray sweatpants a run for their money.
The one with the little bit of a smile stared at her.How could she be sure, with those white eyes? She didn't really know, only that they moved over her, and they almost seemed tactile.
Call it instinct, but she knew he was checking her out.
His smile shifted as he did.
Not cheesy, but sexy.Like he appreciated what he saw.
Which was good, because Gianna appreciated what she saw as well.
Gianna took a step forward, though Tina pulled her back.
"Stop it," Gianna whispered.
Tina didn't let go.
"Stop being so scared," Gianna whispered.
She didn't answer, just kept staring at the two men.
"Gentlemen, you're early," Re-lee said."Your ladies are not quite ready for you."
The one with the stubble turned and his gaze landed on Tina."Is that her?"
Re-lee glanced at Tina, then back at him."As a matter of fact, Kolvin, that is your mate.Meet Tina."
"Uh."
Gianna hit her in the shoulder.
He glanced at Re-lee."Does she speak?"
"Of course, I speak.I'm very articulate.I've just been taken from my homeworld, wound up on another planet--"
"It's a space station, actually," Kolvin said.
"Whatever.I'm not on my world, and my world doesn't travel in the stars yet, and I have family that's probably wondering where I am and what happened to me.So, if I'm not jumping for joy over meeting you, maybe it's because I have had a hard day."
"I think I win," he said.
"You don't win anything," she said. She glanced at Re-lee."That's it.I've met my mate.I reject the match.Send me back to my home."
"We told you, that is just not--"
Gianna stared at her."Don't do this, Tina. You do this all the time.Give him a chance."
