"So this is what it feels like to be inside a giant dick," Veta said as they all stood in the main hanger on the head of the weapon.
Ship.
Ship weapon.Whatever this thing was.
And yes, it looked like a male body part.Somewhat, anyway, Bahran thought.
"Seems rather dry," Wrathin replied.
They exchanged glances, and really, Bahran wasn't sure he wanted to know what that was all about, but Veta and Wrathin did chuckle.
It must have been a private joke.
Probably best he didn't know what that was about.
All their ships had docked onto the station and the girls were able to walk in due to the jewelry unlocking the entrance. They had to go around to each Rhimodian and manually let them in, but they were all there.Caoimhe was pleased, he thought, that they were there, however, she had not expected them to accompany the ladies.
Why they would think that the Rhimodians would allow them to get into harm's way unaccompanied, he didn't know.Of course they would be there to make sure they were protected.Their protocols had not changed.
His emotions, however, had.More intense than he'd ever known, especially when it came to Caoimhe.
But not just her.About everything.Hefeltthings.More than he ever had before, and he was not sure how to control it.
He wasn't sure he wanted to, to be honest.Because controlling it might make his desires for Caoimhe go away, and he did not want that.
He glanced at Caoimhe, who kept looking around, like she expected a monster to come out of the darkness.Though he didn't blame her, he expected a monster to come walking out of the darkness, if what he'd learned about the Emperor was true. The humanoid seemed to be quite capable of monstrous things.
Bahran walked over to her, and held out his hand.
She took it, and squeezed his hand hard. The necklace hung low on her chest, but it was now filled with other stones, looking startlingly different than what it had been before when he first met her. That must have been the jewelry key she spoke about.
The loading area they were in seemed dead, and dusty, like no one had been there in quite some time.Their footfalls echoed throughout as they crossed the room to a lift.He looked around, and saw very little signs of life--some old footprints, but nothing that seemed new.
"It seems that this might have been abandoned," Freya said, before sneezing.
"Maybe this place is, but I cannot believe that the entire facility is," Caoimhe said."There must be humanoids somewhere."
He held out his hand and scanned the area.
It came back clean, but with a feedback loop he didn't recognize.Likely tech. What kind, he wasn't sure.
"It does not seem to have a lot of activity," Bahran said.
She shook her head."No, there must be some here.Check for--"
"You're right, there are plenty of humanoids here, Imperial Princess."
They spun around.Bahran's blasters materialized in his hands from his gauntlets as he turned to face the voice. His scanners showed the strange feedback readings shift.
The Terran Military appeared out of nothingness.Bahran compared their locations to the feedback scanning--it was where the feedback had originated from.He gritted his teeth for not realizing that was more than just a feedback loop.
Caoimhe sighed."Bio cloaking.I should have known."
"Yes, you should have," The Emperor said."How did I not teach you to plan for all contingencies. You have failed so miserably. It is a wonder you're even able to be my daughter."
She scowled at him, and Bahran stepped forward.
