The surrounding military officers shifted, their blasters leveling to him.

Bahran stayed where he was, and resisted the urge to go pound him into the floor.

"See, your little robot thinks you are important."

"I am important," Caoimhe replied.

The Emperor snorted."All it takes is a switch in programming, and they'll do whatever I say."

"That's not how it works," Eleanor said.

He raised his eyebrow at Eleanor."And what do you know about it, worthless trollop?"

"Stop that," Caoimhe snarled."You leave her alone."

The Emperor stepped closer to Eleanor."No.I can kill her any time I want to.She's a waste and unneeded."

Eleanor gasped.

"Just as you're proving how unnecessary you are, as well," he snarled at Caoimhe."I thought you would be my protege, my extension into this world with your almost-perfect smile and almost perfect appearance. You were supposed to follow in my footsteps, but you have only proven that you are no more worth my attention than your sister."

"Because I won't do what you want?"

"Precisely.I knew as soon as you started asking about the prisoners of war that you were no longer my ally.So you need to be eliminated.Just like those robotic wastes of life."

"You have no right to decide what life matters and what one doesn't."

"Oh I don't?I'm the Terran Emperor.I decide life and death every day. This is no different."

"You have no right to commit genocide because you want a planet, father," Caoimhe snapped."You can't just kill your wife or your children because you want a war!"

"I can't?It seems to me I just did.It is no different than deciding a criminal's punishment. They all are worthless, therefore, they all are criminal wastes of resources.There.Convicted.The entire Rhimodian people. Now, I get to execute them. And thanks to you, I get ot execute them a little more efficiently."

"They are fighting back, Emperor," Caoimhe said."You cannot just wipe them out."She started to charge toward her father.

Two of the Terran military came toward the group.Bahran moved again to protect Caoimhe, but they were coming from either side.

Blaster fire echoed in the room.

Jedriek had his blaster out and started firing on the military.Harbin and Kian pulled the females together into a group, where all the Rhimodians surrounded them to shield them from the fighting.

Veta started shooting in between the Rhimodians as well, not letting any of the military near them. They backed toward a wall to keep them shielded as they moved.

The Terrans surged forward.

The Rhimodians protected the females, spreading out their line to make more of a wall, which started a full-on melee of fighters attempting ot destroy each other.

With the exception of two.

Caoimhe screamed.Or maybe that was Eleanor, he wasn't sure.Only that Bahran saw two Terrans pulling Eleanor and Caoimhe over to the Emperor.

"What are you doing? You cannot do this!"Caoimhe cried out.

"It seems that I can," the Emperor said.He glanced at at Eleanor."You didn't need bring that one."The Emperor shoved the younger daughter to the floor."She's as worthless as the rest of them."

"I hate you," Eleanor ground out.

"The feeling is mutual," the Emperor said.
