It was so stupid.
When she found the princess, she was going to strangle her. This was the most ridiculous idea she'd ever had.
How had the Emperor agreed to this? Peace was impossible.
None of this would possibly work out!
Anger and frustration rolled through her and all she wanted to do was punch something. She wiped her brow, the heat from the planet's eco system only fueling the frustration she felt.
Wrathin spoke, breaking into her rambling thoughts.
“What are you authorized to do, then?”
“Take care of the ambassadors,” she replied. “And it looks like I did a smashing job of it," she said, hitting a branch as she walked by.
“As did I,” he replied.
She glanced at him. “You were supposed to escort us to the negotiations.”
He nodded.
“My job was to make sure they didn’t die.” She smacked a particularly sizeable fruit that looked somewhat like Wrathin’s member.
Thick. Veiny. Humongous.
“Ugh,” she muttered. Because she didn’t want to be thinking about his dick. Really, that was the only fun she was having on this damn mission.
But great. Now that was all she was thinking about. How big it was. And how she’d like to—
“Are you well?” Wrathin asked, butting into her thoughts.
“Fine. Tired. Hungry.”
“That fruit you hit—it would make a good snack,” he said, reaching for one, a little higher in the tree.
“No,” she said. “I can’t.”
“Why not? They are delicious, and have wonderful juice in them,” he said as he snapped it down.
A bit of juice spit out the end.
Veta barked in laughter. She couldn’t help herself.
Maybe she was exhausted. Was she delirious now?
“What?” he asked. “What is so humorous? And why are your cheeks so red? Are you ill?”
She shook her head, laughing so hard tears filled her eyes. “I… I can’t.”
He held the fruit up. “What?”
“It looks—like—your—cock!” she finally said through her laughter. She waved her hands in the air. “I’m sorry. It does.”
He stared at her like she had lost her mind.
“It does, and it squirted juice, and it…. I can’t.” Because all she could see in her mind’s eye was the tip of his “fruit” squirting. And that was not what she needed to be thinking about. She took off in the same general direction they’d been moving.
She stopped by a tree to catch her breath. This was not where she should be. Her mind was running like light-speed. Was she hysterical? Had she lost her mind somewhere along the way?
