“There, I think that’s it,” she said. She glanced at him. “Shall I send it out?”

“Yes. We should know in a few minutes if the data worked.”

She nodded and pressed the command.

The signal uploaded and revealed a map of the Sol system, showing all the moons and the large gas giant.

She inhaled a breath.

Laced her fingers with his.

They both waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Her shoulders slumped. “I don’t think it worked.”

“It may take a while with the eclipse interfering with signals.”

“Maybe.” She stood from the terminal and started to walk away.

When the screen blinked.

“Freya,” Kian said.

She turned.

Her eyes widened.

Locations started pinging all over the map.

A lot of locations.

Far more than they would have expected.

“It’s an invasion,” Freya whispered.
