I lean up and kiss him and start swiveling my hips underneath him.

And then we begin to move.

It’s a whole other dimension.

I have a single-minded focus: meeting him thrust for thrust. It’s like a dance, and we’re intently learning the choreography as we go. It’s beautiful and messy and chaotic and feels so unbelievable, I can hardly believe it’s happening to me.

He can feel it when I’m on the edge.

“Are you close?” he rasps.

“Yes.”

Our skin is slick as we move faster and faster.

“Come with me,” he says.

We don’t let up on our rhythm, and when it hits me, it hits me hard.

“I’m coming,” I cry.

He curses, his movements choppy as he pulses inside of me. We ride out that endless wave together.

CHAPTER SEVEN

VOCALIZING

DYLAN

“Holy shit,” I whisper when I flop onto my back. “That was unbelievable.”

I hurriedly take off the condom, tying the end and tossing it into the small garbage can by my desk. I haven’t lived here in so long, but it’s nice that everything is still the same. I did not think Dahlia and I would have sex today…in fact, I assumed we wouldn’t…but I’m thrilled that I snagged the condoms at the store this morning. I glance over at Dahlia and turn on my side to face her.

“Are you okay?” I ask.

She turns to face me, and we stare at each other. I start to get nervous when she doesn’t say anything right away. But then she takes a deep breath and smiles, and my body relaxes.

“I am so good,” she says. “Like…beyond good.” She laughs and covers her eyes with her hand. “I mean, you could probably tell from all the racket I made. I’m not usually so…vocal.”

“I loved it,” I tell her, unable to hold back my massivesmile. “I loved every sound you made…especially when you came.” I put my hand on her hip. “Your skin is so soft.”

I look down at my hand—it looks enormous on her tapered waist. She’s the most perfect hourglass. I get sidetracked by her tits and swallow hard.

“You are so beautiful, Dahlia.” I look into her eyes again. “Before I even knew we were on the same plane, I saw you walk by in the airport and thought you were the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I wanted to talk to you, but I knew it was futile to start a conversation since we were both most likely going in opposite directions. And then fate took over.”

She smiles. “Fate took over, and wow, look at us, here we are in your bed.” She laughs and shakes her head slightly. “I’m…this is way out of my norm.”

“I’m happy to be an exception to your norm.”

“You are most definitely an exception.”

“This is not my norm either,” I tell her. “Breakfast, sex, pillow talk afterward, hoping like all hell that you’ll spend the rest of the day with me.” I lean in until our chests brush against each other’s. “The connection I’ve had with you from the moment we started talking…and even more so a few minutes ago, when we were so in sync. I’ll be honest, that’s not even an exception—nothing like that has ever come close to happening to me before.”

“Me either,” she whispers.

“Best third date ever,” I say.

We smile at each other.
