“Yes, I’m going to love it. I won’t be able to bury it in a bowl though. What can you bury a dog in?” My eyes damn near fell out of my head.
“Jam, how about we try to make sure the puppy lives, okay?”
“Okay,” she said that shit like she was disappointed. I was gone have to keep an eye on her lil ass. Me and Brianna walked out the room and let her play. As soon as we got in my room, I turned to talk to her.
“Hey, you think we need to take her to a doctor or something?” Brianna laughed, but I was serious.
“She’s fine. Jam doesn’t understand that certain animals can’t play with her. A puppy can, so it will be fine.
“My baby is an animal serial killer.” We both laughed, but I wasn’t sure if it was funny or not. Walking over to Brianna, I pulled her to me.
“Baby mama, can you move in with me too? I don’t want you at a hotel.” Her eyes started twinkling, but she tried to hide her smile.
“If you want me to.”
“You need to go boo boo like Jam said. You full of shit.” She hit me in the arm, but she stayed pressed against me. Kissing her on the neck, I could stay like this forever.
“Are you sure though? As much as I want to be here, I would understand if you didn’t. Jam can be here with you, and I’ll get my own house. I’m not trying to force you into a relationship.”
“The only thing I want you to force is my dick in your ass. We good. I’m asking you to stay because I want to be with you. I’m grown as fuck, and I know what I want. You’re my shorty ma, and whether you like it or not, we go together.” Her ass started blushing hard before kissing me on the lips.
“I’m sorry for keeping her from you all those years.”
“I know. Don’t bring that shit up again because I still think about going upside your head from time to time. Maybe I’ll have Landon do it since he be boxing.”
“Speaking of Landon. I don’t feel comfortable.” I let her go and my smile left. I prayed she would never try and cross that line because she would lose. He meant too much to me.
“Say man, you got me fucked up if you think you can come between me and my lil nigga. It ain’t a mufucka alive that will make me turn my back on him. I’m all he has and if I’m being honest, I need him too. I didn’t think you would try that shit, but if it’s going to be a problem, you gone have to get over it or get gone.” She looked at me shocked before falling out laughing.
“Well, that tells me everything I need to know.” I shrugged my shoulders because I meant every word. I loved Brianna, but I loved my lil nigga too.
“Bet.” I turned to walk out, but she stopped me.
“Devin, where are you going?”
“To hang out with my lil nigga. You can stay here tonight with Mila. I’ll start looking for you somewhere tomorrow. It won’t take them long since I got the bread to make them move their ass.
“Devin.” I turned around to face her, but I didn’t want to. I was trying to hide my hurt. I’ve been waiting for her to get here thinking we can finally be together, and she ruined it with one sentence. I couldn’t wait to tell this lil nigga she played his ass.
“What?”
“I was saying I don’t feel comfortable with his situation. Mila’s been saying how she can’t wait to have a brother, and that boy is just as much your child as she is. Look how you were just willing to leave me if I didn’t like him.”
“What you saying?”
“I think it’s time you adopt him. If we are going to do this, let’s do it all the way.” It took me a minute to respond because I was genuinely shocked. Touched, but shocked.
“I’ve tried. He’s not going to let me. He doesn’t want that.”
“I’ve talked to Landon, and he said if you ever come back to him and ask again, he will say yes. I told him his sister needs him.” Walking over to her, I hugged her tight.
“I love you, Brianna. Thank you for that.”
“I love you too, but you not getting no pussy for a while after you just tried to dump me.” Laughing, I snatched her leggings down.
