The commanding man who just fucked me to within an inch of my life in the bathroom and the tender one that’s now cleaning me up after.
When he tosses the paper towel away, I grab his hand and pull him close to me. I press up onto my toes and give him a soft kiss.
Easy, unhurried.
I know we need to get out of here, but I don’t want to.
I want to stay wrapped up in this hazy, lust-filled bubble I’ve created with Nick.
“Holy shit, Bex, that was…”
“I know,” I tell him, whispering against his mouth. “I know.”
“You know,” Nick says, “I don’t think this is what I had in mind when we said we were going to have a date tonight.”
I smile at him. “I was not planning on this either.”
“What do you say? No more dates with other people. You and me?”
Nick’s face is blissed-out. Happy. Content. I want to see more of it.
“Yeah, Nick. You and me.”
Everyone else be damned.
Chapter Twelve
NICK
“Alright, tell us.”
“Tell you what?” I ask Cash.
“Tell us what, he says,” Cash parrots back to me. He looks to Noah like I’m an idiot because I have no idea what he’s talking about.
“Your date.” The duh in Noah’s tone is implied.
“You know, I’m beginning to think you guys don’t like me.”
Troy skates up, spraying ice all over us.
“Asshole,” Cash mutters.
“Are we talking about the date last night?” Troy asks, ignoring Cash.
“Nicky thinks we don’t like him,” Noah tells him.
“Uh-oh. Date didn’t go well?” Troy eyes me, like he’s trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. “Angie said she would love you.”
I roll my eyes at him. Of course the two of them have already discussed this.
“She cut out after about ten minutes.”
“Ouch.” Noah winces.
I nod. “Went to the bathroom and never came back. Had our server slip me a note.”
This time, all three of them wince.
