Why not?

Something about not being safe. I dunno

It’s safer than football

I don’t think that’s a selling point

I can imagine you skating around with them

I’ve taken them skating. They’re good

Uh-oh! Are they going to be better than you some day?

Maybe once I’m in the Hall of Fame, they’ll carry on the family name

Getting pretty cocky there, aren’t you?

Aren’t you the one telling me it’s not cocky if it’s true?

Now you’re listening to me?

I’ve been listening to you all semester. It’s how I got a B- on my last astronomy test

a B-? You didn’t tell me that!

It didn’t feel that important

Of course it is! That’s awesome, Troy! I’m so proud of you

All because of you ;)

You’re the one who did the hard work

“Ang! Movie time!”

“Coming!” I call down to my dad. It’s our family tradition. After Christmas dinner, we always settle in for a movie. It started by the time Nick was born, and now it’s a way for all of us to spend time together during the holidays.

Not that Nick or I are going anywhere. Because the one other person I want to spend time with over the holiday? I can’t.

Angie

Gotta go…Christmas movie with the fam

Troy

Anything good?

Not sure yet…it’s my brother’s year to pick the movie

Good luck…talk later?

Yeah <3

I bound down the stairs. My dads still live in the same house as when I was born. I love how cozy it is. Pictures of them together and with Nick and me line the walls. We’ve always been close. It’s one of the things I love about our family.

“Want a glass of wine?” Dad holds the bottle of red out to me as I come in the room. No doubt it’s a Malbec, his new favorite. One that I made sure to buy him this year.

“Sure.” He’s waiting in the kitchen that opens directly to the living room and dining room. I grab a glass from the bar that splits the kitchen and dining room and hold it out for him. The lights are already low for our movie.
