The coolness of the rink.
The darkness surrounding us.
The scruff of Troy’s mouth as it moves over mine.
The sweet taste of him as our tongues collide.
I could stay here all night. Wake up next to him and be perfectly content.
“I have an early morning flight to catch.”
“I’ll see you when you get back.” Troy drags his nose along my jaw before pressing a kiss to my neck. “You’ll call me while you’re gone?”
“Every day.”
Leaving Troy is harder than it should be. Christmas break is usually my favorite break. A few weeks at home with no school and being surrounded by family. I love it.
Now?
I’m already counting the days.

I’d rock being Uncle Troy, but I’m TIRED
Can’t you wear them out playing hockey or something?
My cousin won’t let them play until they’re older
