He exhaled on a low sigh. “I will.”

I had to walk away. “I’m heading to the city.”

Rayden looked at me, his expression curious. “Why?”

“I’ve got some urgent work—”

“Dad, it’s your birthday in two days and the Christmas Eve dinner a couple of days after that. What gives?”

I’m in love with your girlfriend.I silently yelled. “I’ll try and be back before then,” I lied and walked out before he could stop me.

Sianna

HARD AND BOLD, HE INVADEDme with a delicious fervor. I felt every inch of his heated skin flush against mine. Powerful legs and smooth satin sheets entangled with mine. His scent surrounded me, driving me wild. He parted my legs. I was hot, wet, eager to take his rigid length into me. Anticipation seared my veins. He pushed inside me, solid and full, thick and hard. Carnal desire swept through my body, rocking me into submission. I groaned on the first thrust. Hot, powerful strokes unleashed a rush of erotic burn from nape to toes. I slipped my hands around his neck, tightening my grip, nails digging into taut muscles down his back, over the curve of his hips before sinking into a firm butt. I looked up. Gray eyes, hungry with lust, stared down at me, lips parted in a sensual smile while his powerful form moved over me, all-male and sexual dominance. His brawny thighs on either side of me, holding me tight as he rocked into me, hard and fast. His chest expanded and contracted with the harshness of his rapid breathing while his nostrils flared in a face taut with naked—

“Come for me, babe.”

My eyes flew open. I blinked hard.No. Oh, my God.“Rayden?” I whispered. He groaned, burying his face in my neck.

Oh, my God. Did I—oh, God, no—words, defeated me. I stared up at the ceiling.

“Jesus, Sianna, you’re drowning me,” he growled as his body tensed, signifying his release. The thrusts deepened, harder faster. “Fuck. I’m coming.”

Distraught, I kept my gaze plastered to the ceiling, not daring to breathe, to move. What had I done? How could I? Imagining Drake—I closed my eyes, biting my lips to keep from crying. Piece of shit didn’t come close to what I felt like right now.

Rayden collapsed on me, the tremor of his heartbeat deafening my silent cries until his ragged breaths eased. He kissed the hollow of my neck, trailing small kisses to my mouth. When I didn’t move, he lifted his head and stared down at me. “Sianna?”

I blinked again and focused on his handsome face, my heart twisting into pieces I doubt would be recoverable even if I tried. “Yes.”

“Why do I get the feeling you were thinking of someone else just now?”

It took every ounce of self-control I possessed to hide my emotions. “What?”

“The way you said my name, just now. It was like you were shocked to see me, as though you were expecting someone else.”

“Don’t be silly.”
