She nodded as we walked down the hallway. “And something about an address. But don’t worry, the guys have it under control. We shouldn’t have to use anything like that.”
I wasn’t so sure about that, though. Not after the panic I saw in Caleb’s eyes.
Despite the fact that we couldn’t see much, however, that didn’t mean that we couldn’t see anything. I stood at the window, peering over everyone’s heads as I watched who I could only assume was Bullet get off a bike. He was at the forefront of the other crew, and there was no one else standing at his side, and I figured my educated guess was as accurate as they came.
“Nice of you to set this meeting up, Fangs.”
Shockingly enough, Fangs outstretched his hand. “Bullet, thanks for coming.”
“Jesus Christ,” Lila murmured.
“Shh,” some of the girls hissed.
“So, that’s this Bullet guy?” I whispered.
The girls nodded their heads but didn’t say anything. So, I kept my mouth closed while we all listened.
“Now, you have something of ours that we want,” Bullet said flatly.
Fangs held out his arms. “And we can certainly come to an agreement, assuming that agreement is fit for all parties involved.”
“Or,” Bullet said as he closed the distance between himself and Fangs, “you could just give us what’s rightfully ours and we won’t kill every single woman you’ve got stored in that clubhouse.”
The girls gasped while I held my breath.
“Not gonna happen,” Fangs said as his voice grew an edge to it.
Bullet laughed right in his face. “And what kind of deal would you have us make, hmm?”
“For starters, you and your club get the hell out of Twin Bays.”
The laughter immediately ceased. “Not gonna happen. I want the original deal we talked about over the phone. Nothing more, and nothing less.”
My gaze searched for Caleb and, while I couldn’t see all of him, I saw enough of him to watch his fist ball up at his side.
This isn’t good.
“Well, we’re renegotiating now,” Fangs said flatly. “So, if you don’t like it? You can leave and we’ll keep your hard-earned money for ourselves.”
“No,” Bullet said as he raised his gun and pressed it right in between Fangs’ eyeballs.
“You give me the original deal or you die right now, old man. Your choice.”

“Well, can I at least have a moment to discuss things with my club?” Fangs asked.
The anger in Bullet’s face throbbed his temples. The man ground his teeth together before finally moving the gun away from Fangs’ face, but it didn’t pull me away from the edge I teetered on. I wanted to slug the man. I wanted to strangle him for putting us all in this position. How dare he go behind our backs and—
“Men, over this way,” Fangs said with a nod of his head.
“Everyone!” Bullet exclaimed. “Aim your guns at the clubhouse!”
“No!” I bellowed.
Fangs wrapped his hand around my throat. “Shut the fuck up or you’ll get us all killed.”
