She was already his.
And maybe…he was already hers.
Her bandaged hands found their way to his face, and then her lips met his. The kiss was long and slow and sweet, her mouth clinging to his even as he rose to his feet and helped her to stand.
His hands moved over her skirt, shoving it to the floor, removing the remnants of her shirt and bra. The chilly air blowing in from the open door made goose bumps rise along her skin, but she couldn’t care when his hot chest pressed against hers.
Her fingers worked the fastening of his jeans. When they were both naked, he picked her up, her legs automatically winding around his narrow hips.
“Fuck me,” she murmured.
A slow, evil smile spread over Jacob’s face. “Oh no, my greedy girl. First we make love.”
“I hate making love,” Akira gasped.
Jacob chuckled, so happy he could burst. His heart hadn’t felt so light in weeks, not since he had woken up and discovered Akira missing from her massive bed.
Now she was back though, inhismassive bed, and damn it, this time he meant to make her so damn blissful she stopped fretting over silly things like whether she was good enough for him.
He needed a sweet, kind, gentle woman? Maybe. Sometimes. But he had found that in Akira. He wanted her.
He wasn’t entirely certain she believed him yet. He would make her see. He would make her see they were perfect for each other.
Perfect in every way. His toes dug into the mattress. He was buried completely inside her, ass tight, sweat pouring off him, every muscle clenched. All of those were great things, but at some crazy point, he had decided that the best thing he could do was not move.
She thumped his shoulder. She didn’t have much upper-body strength, but her small fist was bony, so it did make him wince. Unwilling to give in so easily to his hungry woman—his woman, that was absurd and exciting all at once—Jacob only readjusted his palms on either side of her head and looked down at her, his lips curved. “I finished my contracted book, you know. The last couple of weeks, I’ve been working nonstop on my new series. Lidia’s shaping up nicely.”
“Great,” she gritted out between her teeth. “Can we talk about this later?”
“She’s lusty, my heroine,” he said brightly, deliberately ignoring her. “I was toying with this idea of a scene where she’s experimenting with tantric sex.”
“Does she love it?”
“Yes.”
She panted. “Well, I can already see she’s not modeled after me. Quit it now.”
“Patience,” he soothed. He ducked his head, capturing her lips, licking the seam and mimicking the thrusts she wanted him to replicate with his lower body.
She ripped her mouth away, her chest moving up and down with the force of her need. “I’m not patient.”
“I know.” He made his smile deliberately sweet. “But I am. I could stay like this forever.”
The words weren’t a lie. It might kill him, but he would die happy.
Her groan was tortured.
His head lowered. “I could be persuaded to move.”
“What do you want? A blowjob? A threesome? A foursome? So many sexual partners it would be absurd to count?” she asked hopefully.
“No.” Wait. You idiot. Don’t turn down those things.“I mean, yes. But what I really want, more than anything in the world…” his whisper was so soft, she had to strain up to hear it, “…is for you to tell me what an amazing person you are. Worthy of everything. Especially love.”
The lines around her mouth deepened. “Don’t be cheesy, Campbell. It doesn’t become you.”
“Okay. I suppose I could stay here and never move.”
She dropped her head to the pillow. “You patient, manipulative asshole.”
