My head flew back. “But I thought—”
“I see you still don’t read the communications that come out. Xavier, if you still haven’t realized that checking and reading your email is more important than basketball, then it’s clear we’ve failedyou here at TSU. No worries. That’ll change soon,” she finished and walked off.
I was still stuck on the fact that she was the dean. What the fuck happened to Clark?I knew Chev didn’t get his ass that fast. I needed to remind myself to ask Dio when I saw him.
I was almost to my class when Gabbie stopped me. She sucked her teeth as she pulled at my shirt. “It’s been like three weeks,” she hissed.
I ran my hand through my hair. “Shit, my bad, Gab. I’ve been busy,” I lied.
Gabbie was one of my late-night treats. She’d been bed rocked a few times, but a nigga wasn’t a one-woman man. However, the way I was feeling, spinning the block didn’t seem bad at all. “I’ll hit you up—”
My head slowly turned as I spotted Phoebe coming out of a class, heading to exit the building. She was fucking gorgeous. Every time I saw her, all I could do was stare. Our interactions had been minimal since inviting her to Dio and Samara’s kickback. I thought that day would loosen her up, but that shit did nothing. She was on the darker side, more of an alternative type of Black girl. She always wore black but never wore makeup. She was one of the only girls on campus I didn’t know firsthand. I wanted to get to know her, but I wasn’t sure how to truly approach her. I wanted to try for a second time to holler at her the right way, but shit, she made it hard for nigga.
She eyed me for a few seconds before pulling away as she walked past. Gabbie cupped my chin and turned my head toward her.
“Don’t stand me up. I’ll be waiting,” she said as she leaned forward to kiss me.
“You know I don’t do that,” I told her.
She chewed on the side of her lip. “Yeah, that’s what you say now.”
I hobbled away from Gabbie to enter my class as I watchedPhoebe disappear out the door. I wasn’t sure if I was going to hit Gabbie up because, honestly, I preferred fresh pussy for the start of the semester, and Phoebe was on my list. When I entered the class, there were a few faces I’d seen on campus, but the one that was most familiar was Papi’s. Since the Zoo raced him and his siblings, they had been pretty quiet. I didn’t see him on campus much, but he would appear from time to time. He grilled me as I sat in the only seat that seemed to be left, which was beside him. “Ayo, nigga watch yo boot,” he hissed.
“Or what, you’re going to want to race it out?”
He slowly turned his head to look the other way because he knew his siblings didn’t want that smoke again. The moment the class started, my mind began to drift off until the professor asked a question to which I felt I could relate. “Consequentialism. Do you believe that this theory is plausible? Let me explain better before anyone answers. Do you believe that an action, regardless of what it is, should be focused on the outcome or the act itself?”
Papi laughed. “Why focus on the end result when one should be worried about what is going on in the moment?”
I shook my head. “Nigga you sound dumb. Why focus on the moment when the end result is what matters? Isn’t that how y’all got smoked in the race in the first place?”
The professor looked between both of us, “Keep going.” He nodded.
Papi slightly turned my way. “You’re funny, but what you're failing to understand, goofy, is that your current actions are what reflect your ending. So why not focus on the right now to change the end results? Let me give you an example. Xavier here had a fucked up,” he paused and cleared his throat. “Excuse my language. Has a messed-up foot, which prevents him from playing basketball. Knowing him, he is so focused on theoutcomethat his brain can’t process that he needs to focus on the moment, so the outcome couldbe him playing again. It’s always about the right now. It’s the right now that tells the brain right from wrong. The right now can always lead to a better outcome.”
The professor stood and stepped closer, even more intrigued by the conversation. I could see everyone’s eyes fixated on me. I sucked my teeth. “Here's the problem: the action is already done. You’ve already completed it, so why not focus on what the end results look like? Let me give you an example. Papi, you and your family enjoy racing, right? So, you, Papi, put your family in a race knowing you're not capable of winning, but the race has started, and you're so focused on it right now that your mind can't think clearly about winning. Guess what? You and your people lost because the end results weren’t the focus of the action you took. Honestly, neither really matters to me because both could turn out well or badly. It’s never just the act, but the person behind the act.”
“Oh, they’re going to fight after this.” I heard someone say.
Honestly, what the Zoo and NTR had was dead. This was a simple debate, one where I was put on the spot. The professor turned around and walked back to the podium. “Great conversation. It seems we have two gentlemen whose brains are bigger than their actions outside this class.”
Everyone belted a laugh. I didn’t see shit funny, but it was kind of an interesting topic. It made me think about my situation, which was bigger than fucking basketball.
PHOEBE
PRESS PLAY
“Goddamn, girl! Ease up!” Percy grunted.
I pressed my hands on his mouth to shut him up as I rode him like a horse. My hips moved back and forth as my pussy sucked him up.
“I’m almost there!” I moaned.
He began smacking the side of my ass while this pussy did a number on him. Percy took a handful of my hair and yanked my head back.
“You’re a nasty little bitch. Who else you fucking like this?Shit!”
I spun my hips in a circle as the feeling of me cumming consumed me.“Yes! Yes! Yes!”I shouted.
