I sighed, while moving back again. “Man, you tripping, Tera.” She frowned. “How is that?”
“Cause. I didn’t move you in this neighborhood, because I wanted to fuck you. If anything, I would’ve had your ass clear across the city, if that was the case. You too close to home. Ion want the drama. I just wanna take care of my kids. That’s it.”
“You don’t want the drama? You trying to protect your relationship? Huh?”
“Yeah.” I nodded. “That’s exactly what I’m doing.” “But where was that protection for me?”
“I keep telling you, I was immature, Tera. What more can I say?”
“So, she’s special to you? Do you love her more?”
Taking a deep breath, I rubbed my waves, not wanting to take it there with her.

“Right,” I inhaled. “Now, go tell the girls to come on. I’m ready to head out.”
She rolled her eyes. “They’re not here.” “What?” I frowned.
“You heard me. They’re not here. Don’t you think that they would’ve shown their faces by now? Especially after hearing your voice in here?”
“Shi! Aspen! Let’s go!” I clapped my hands.
All that could be heard was my voice echoing throughout the empty house.
“I told you that they’re not here,” Tera reiterated.
“Well, where the fuck they at?” I snapped, not in the mood to play with her.
“At Vonda’s house.”
I scowled. “Your fucking cousin?” “Yeah.”
“Well, why the fuck would you let them go with her, knowing that school is tomorrow?”

up from work. I can drop them of then, or they can just go to school from here.”
