Too Low no reassurance. But he got plans to get you out the picture.”
“And nobody came to you with nothing directly?”
“Nah, man. When it comes to my sister, then fuck a street code, or friendship. Her safety comes before everything. So, if there was a viable threat, then I wouldn’t dress that shit up as nothing else. This shit has just been on my mind. So, I’m telling you. Keep ya head on a swivel, nigga.”
“Oh, I already know. But on the cool…you telling me this makes me wanna handle him, just in case.”
“Hey main, say main. Listen, if it was me, then I’d do whatever to sleep good at night. So, you do whatever you gotta do. Cause like I said, you with my sister, and I’m never gonna be okay with having her in harm’s way.”
“I hear you, but yeah, let me hit you back. I’m finna run up in this spot, and see what the fuck is up with Babi.”
He lightly chuckled. “So, you found her?” “I guess so. I’m ‘bout to see, though.” “Okay, cool. I’ma fuck with cha.”
“Bet.” I ended the call.
Wasting no time, I left my car with valet, and skipped the line, because my nigga was a promoter there, and made my way into the club. It was packed and the deejay was bumping R&B, which had all the women singing at the top of their lungs. No lie, it was some bad bitches in the building, while the vibe was pretty grown and sexy. And that shit really pissed me off.
Babi could’ve easily said that she wanted to go out. Shit, I would’ve come out too. Instead, she’d just pulled a stunt, acting like a lil’ ass girl. I was also becoming frustrated, as I couldn’t seem to find her, until I spotted Soya behind a little roped off section.
Making my way over to her, I wondered where Babi was, because I didn’t immediately spot her, until I realized that I’d just
been looking past her. There was this fine stallion, standing beside Soya, but I naturally figured that she couldn’t be Babi. Because she had on a little stonewashed denim outfit, with some tiny shorts, revealing most of her ass cheeks, a long-sleeved jacket with a fucking string halter top underneath. Her hair was straightened, and she was rocking tall heels, looking like a top, money-making stripper.
With the type of body Babi had, dressing like a slut may have been classless, but it would unquestionably grab the attention of every man in the vicinity. Literally, every man that would step near them would stop and stare. I had paused my approach, just to watch her, and nigga after nigga kept approaching her. Each time, she would shake her head no, but that shit didn’t matter to me. Because the fact that she would come out publicly dressed like that was the real issue here.
“On my mama, that muthafucka in them shorts is the baddest bitch in here,” some random dude chattered, as him and his boy strolled past me.
Knowing that he was telling the truth, I didn’t take offense. I looked at her ass every day, so I knew what it was hitting for. I was just questioning what she was on, as she finally gazed my way, and our eyes locked. Then that smile immediately dropped.
Lifting my hand, I curled my finger, gesturing her to come here.
She shook her head.
“I’ma fuck you up.” I mouthed to her, letting her know that this wasn’t a fucking game.
Again,sheshookherhead.
I calmly nodded, but didn’t move an inch in her direction. For a long minute, we both just stood, staring at each other. Through several songs.

moving, so she spoke in her ear. That’s when Babi pointed me out. Then Soya fell over with laughter. Babi didn’t crack a smile. Which made me realize…that she was mad at me, for real.
Naturally, I was confused, as I wondered what I could’ve done. My mind was drawing a blank, before I decided to step over to her, and merely ask.
Inviting myself into the section, I stepped over the rope, joining the small group of women.
“’Sup?” I spoke to everybody before I focused on my gal. “What’s up with you?”
She frowned. “Huh? What are you talking about?”
I stared at her unblinkingly, knowing when she was playing dumb.
Eventually, she sighed, while gripping my shirt, pulling me down to her level. “Why didn’t you tell me that you took Tera to her doctor’s appointment?”
I frowned. “Who told you that?”
She huffed. “It don’t matter who told me.”
