Molly didn't bother to deny it, and it gave me a better perspective of the relationship they have.
"As much fun as I'm finding this, I think we need to leave the church before the priest kicks us out. He keeps giving us the stink eye," I informed the two women.
Elle whipped around so fast I was surprised she didn't give herself whiplash. Not to mention fall on the damn spiked heels she called shoes. How women walked in those things would always be a mystery to me.
"There's not a damn person in the world who's going to rush us at the moment. Not when I just got the two of you to talk."
I shook my head. "I'm pretty sure this much cussing in church is frowned upon."
"Oh please." Elle rolled her eyes. "Says the manwhore who uses fuck like it's a verb."
I glared at her before glancing over at Molly. I expected my wife to look disgusted by Elle's admission, but once again, shesurprised me. Molly had a twinkle in her eye. "I guess that answers my question about sex."
I was cut off from answering by Elle's whistle. "Things are moving along nicely if the two of you are already discussing sex."
"Don't you have a husband and daughter to get back to?" I snapped at Rhett's wife.
Elle waved me off. "They're fine. I'm invested in this relationship at this point. I need to make sure you aren't going to hurt my best friend. Otherwise I'd have to kick your ass."
Like she could. Rhett maybe but certainly not Elle.
Okay, that was a lie. I would never be able to hit her back or put my hands on her, so she probably could.
"You calling me a manwhore to my wife isn't going to help my cause."
"Aww, he called you his wife," Elle clutched her chest and spoke straight at Molly.
Molly rolled her eyes. "I heard him. No need for the play-by-play."
Elle didn't appear the least bit bothered by Molly's attitude because she steamrolled the conversation further. "Yes, but did you understand the significance of that? This is the same man who hasn't had the same woman in his bed twice, and he's over here calling you his wife like it means something important."
"You know I'm right here, right? I can literally hear everything you say about me." And I didn't like the way she was portraying me.
"Are you denying any of what I said?"
I had to force myself to calm down before I said something that would get me in trouble with her husband. "That's not the point."
"That's what I thought. Before marriage you were a manwhore, but now you sound all possessive about my friend like you plan to keep her forever."
I wasn't sure about forever, but I damn well wanted to see if it could lead toward that.
"Technically I've only been in his bed once, so he's still a manwhore based on your definition of him."
I whipped my head and met the amused eyes of my wife. "I thought we already agreed to see where this would go? You asked about sex, which correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that meant there would be more than one time between us?"
"And technically you evaded the question by telling me I would be bad for your health."
She would be if this was any indication of how our marriage was going to go.
"Would you rather I spelled it out for you even though we're in a church?"
Molly gifted me with a dazzling but mischievous smile. "Actually yes, I would."
Your wish is my command.
Snaking my arm out, I pulled her closer until our bodies were flush against each other. "I know we both don't remember our first time together, but I can promise you I'll have you screaming my name several times when I get you in my bed again. And I don't just mean one mind-blowing orgasm. I'll give you a minimum of three until you forget not only your name but every man who came before me," I whispered in her ear.
I never thought I would see the day, but clearly I was wrong. The slightest pink blush worked its way up Molly's neck. "I'm going to hold you to that. I hate to be disappointed. It would be grounds for a divorce."
