I gave him a lopsided smile. "I was kinda hoping you could fill in some of the gaps."

A dry laugh hit my ears. "Sorry. I wish I could. I want more than anything to remember what happened after we left the bar."

There was something about our hands linked together that calmed me in a way no one ever has before. "It's like the blind leading the blind."

Parker shook his head. "That's the most accurate description. So what do we do now?"

"What do you want to do?" A small part of me was hoping he would have the answers so I didn't have to come up with them.

He blew out a slow breath and looked me right in the eyes. "I don't want to get an annulment. I know this was rushed, but I approached you that night in the bar because I find you attractive, and I wanted to spend time together. This is going to be a backward way of doing things, but I want to see where this can go."

"Me too."

"So it's settled, then."

A huge smile overtook my face. Things were turning toward awkward, and the need to lighten the mood coursed through my veins like an adrenaline shot. "Does this mean we can have sex sooner rather than later because I'm a little disappointed I don't remember the first experience?"

CHAPTER SEVEN

PARKER

I blanched at her abruptness. Did she really just ask that?

"You know we're in a church, right?"

Molly had the audacity to chuckle. I knew as soon as she leaned into me and whispered, "Are you telling me you weren't thinking about it?" that I was a goner.

"I didn't say that."

The smile Molly beamed my way was enough to make my heart speed up. "Glad to know we're on the same page."

How the hell did we get to this point?

I didn't have the slightest idea, and I wasn't sure if that should scare or excite me.

"I think you're going to be dangerous for my health," I whispered back.

Everyone in the church turned their heads in our direction when Molly threw her head back and barked out a loud laugh.

It wasn't until she got herself under control that she responded, "Oh you have no idea."

From the corner of my eye, I saw Elle make her way over to us. She's no longer holding Savannah like she had been whenwe first talked. Instead the baby was tucked safely in her father's arms.

"Looks like you two are getting along. I think it's only fair that I take credit for this little reunion."

Molly scoffed at her friend, "Of course you would."

Elle was no pushover and made it known as she dropped her fists to her hips. "Um, excuse me. Was I the only one there for our conversation a few minutes ago? You didn't even want to come over and talk to Parker. I practically had to shove you at him."

I looked over at my wife.

Damn, that was going to take some time to get used to.

My wife.

"Okay, maybe you did, but you don't have to gloat about it."

"I'll gloat if I want to because if the tables were turned, you would do the same damn thing."
