“Maybe,” Seth admitted, flushing as Adria shot him an amused look. “I mean—I like the new regime. Mistress Adria rules with flawless poise.”

“Better,” Adria corrected, and Kaydon tipped her chin up to kiss her deeply. “I thought it was hot watching you handle those big, bad gang bangers.”

Then it was Adria’s turn to blush.

Maxim had given them the tip that led to today’s mission. Adria and Maxim had formed a semi-symbiotic partnership—she shared intel, he pointed them to leads, and when he hit a wall, they were there to finish the job.

Finish the things Maxim couldn’t.

“I could watch you work all day,” Bryson murmured from beneath Adria.

Seth’s hand slipped along her waistband, and Kaydon watched as Adria arched into his touch, breath catching. Kaydon’s mouth was suddenly dry, as Adria let Seth explore her before gently withdrawing his hand and looping her legs around Bryson, flipping him.

“You three look absolutely delicious,” she purred, licking her lips, “I wonder if I could have all three of you at once.”

Kaydon’s heart lurched.

She winked. “Maybe one day. But for now…you know the drill.”

“Tough luck, kid. You tried,” Kaydon said, squeezing Seth’s shoulder. They settled onto the mattress in a loose circle.

After every job, they played Truth or Share.

Adria propped her head on a pillow. “Kaydon, you’re up.”

“How am I supposed to top triple penetration?” Kaydon joked.

A pillow slapped against his face. “Okay, okay—I’m thinking.”

He loved these moments, loved that no matter how bloody the missions were—or weren’t—they always came home to each other.

The confidence he felt from all three of them was intoxicating. Kaydon didn’t worry about failing as much anymore. Some of that was therapy, but a lot of it was the three people in this room with him. Their unyielding love, their faith, and undying affection. Kaydon knew he had found his forever family.

He also loved Truth or Share. It was a time that the four of them cut loose. Sharing silly stories or funny anecdotes. Sometimes they got serious if someone needed to. But normally it was just all good fun.

Except for tonight. Tonight, his pulse hammered in his chest.

He glanced at Seth. “Truth or share?”

“Truth.”

Kaydon leaned in. “What do you want most in this world?”

Seth stared at the ceiling. “Fuck, I love what we’ve built. I want to keep it. To hold on with both hands and never let go. As cheesy as it sounds, you three get me, and I feel it every day, right here.” He pointed to his center.

Kaydon found Seth’s hand and squeezed. Seth turned to him, eyes soft.

“Kaydon—truth or share?”

“Share.” Kaydon sat up, struggling to meet Adria’s eyes. “I know I shouldn’t cling to the past, but I can’t help seeing everything that happened—to me, to us—that brought us here. The bad shit and the good stuff. I’m not perfect. I’ve fucked up. But I promise to spend the rest of my life trying to do better.”

Adria brushed her palm across his cheek. “You’re amazing, Kaydon. Just keep healing—that’s all we ask.”

He nodded, wiping away a stray tear.

“Wow, you boys are deep tonight,” Adria teased.

“Bryson—truth or share?” Kaydon asked.
