“Alright,” I sigh. “I’ll stop drinking.”
“Why don’t you go sleep this off?” She suggests. “It’s better to leave before alcohol hits you completely.”
“Are you going to be alright on your own, though?”
She waves her hand dismissively. “Of course. Grace will come back soon enough.”
“Alright, if you’re sure.”
With one, last glance at the full library, I head out. The library is on the top floor of the building, and I’m trying to be as silent as possible while walking down the stairs. Most of the lights are turned off, and the only guide I have is the moonlight that flashes through the windows.
The corridors are deserted, the doors of the classrooms closed shut. I focus on trying to be as silent as possible, taking out my phone and shooting Avalon a quick message to say that I’ve left, and that the dorm will be unlocked for her. She probably didn’t bring her key —again.
As soon as I send the text, my movements come to a halt. I’m not sure whether it’s the alcohol in me or whether I’m truly hearingsomething. With narrowed eyes, I take a couple of steps forward, then turn right — going in the different direction that I need to.
The door of the classroom is open ajar, and with ease, I sneak up, peeking with one eye inside.
I barely contain the gasp of shock, horror, and disgust from slipping my lips.
Soren is inside, with his shirt off. His chest and broad shoulders catch my attention, the way sweat glistens all over his upper body. His arms are both covered in ink, the only spot free of tattoos just above his chest.
I’m snapped out of my thoughts when I see that his belt’s undone, and that he’s fucking someone. Slowly, I peek a little more inside, and I can’t look away. He’s fucking Ms. Ellie — our professor. She’s bent over the teacher’s desk, her skirt up to her hips as he slams into her, fucking her like he’s punishing her for something.
I don’t even think twice before pulling out my phone again, making sure the flash is off, then starting to record.
Oh, Soren. You just made this so fucking easy for me.
FOUR
My head’s throbbing as I open my eyes. The light from the window hits me harshly, and with a groan, I roll over to the other side of the bed, snapping my eyes shut. My hand moves under the pillow, trying to locate my fucking phone. God, where the hell is it?
“Morning,” Ellie’s soft voice comes from beside me, and I turn to face her, forcing my eyes open. She’s wrapped in the white sheets, naked underneath. Her hair is messy, makeup from last night is smeared under her eyes.
“Morning.”
She smiles. “How did you sleep?”
“Like hell,” I groan, burying my face in the pillow.
The stupid party was the last thing I needed. I don’t even remember much of what went down after I drank a whole ass bottle of whiskey and fucked Ellie in the classroom. Somehow, she managed to sneak me into her bedroom, and it’s going to be a hassle trying to leave undetected.
Ellie laughs, then I hear her moving from the bed. I peek fromthe pillow, watching as she finds my phone discarded on the floor without clothes. She tosses it over, and I catch it with ease, turning around and propping the pillow under my head, leaning against the headboard.
Christ.
It’s noon.
“How the fuck am I supposed to leave?”
Ellie shrugs, a wicked smirk on her face. She approaches the bed again, crawling on top of me and kissing my chest. “You don’t have to. You could stay here.”
“I can’t,” my jaw clenches. “There’re already rumors about the two of us. I can’t risk it. Besides, I promised Kenzo I’d go to an exhibit with him.”
Ellie rolls her eyes. “We’re two consenting adults, it’s not like this is a crime.”
“Not a crime, but it is against the rules. If the word gets out, you will get fired, and that’s the best-case scenario. The worst-case scenario? My mother finds out, uses her connections, and makes sure you never get another job in your life.”
That seems to catch her attention. Slowly, Ellie sits up, holding the sheets to her body tightly. “She wouldn’t go that far, would she?”
