"How old are you Mariyah?"

"Twenty-four…" He nodded his head as though content with that.

"Married?"Mariyah shook her head. This felt wrong, she had a strong sense that this guy here was up to something.

"Good, good, your brother Caleb, you love him yes?"Mariyah nodded her head. She did not want to give him too much information."And do you want his stay in here to be clean and uneventful?"Drawing in a breath Mariyah once again nodded."Are you willing to make sure nothing happens to him in here?I mean you can save your brother from a lot of pain you know.If I feel like he is holding back from me I can easily enough have him beaten almost to death, if not to death.I can show you if you like."Mariyah felt like her whole body was frozen, she had a dreaded feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"What do you want?I'm sorry, I really have no money to give you."He laughed at her comment and so did the guard.

"Kid here thinks this is about money Randall."He was talking to the guard, the guard who laughed aloud."I have all the money I could want sweetheart."His eyes turning almost black suddenly.Right… Creepy much?

"Okay then, I'll be off now.It was nice talking to you Mr..."Mariyah stood to leave feeling very uncomfortable, she had warning signs going off in her head.

"Zak Michaels...Sit down, I already told you, I'm not finished with you yet, now sit the fuck down babe."Mariyah sat back down and immediately started to panic, this Zak was scaring the hell out of her.

"Mr Michaels, I don't know what it is you would like from me, I don't want to offend you but I really do need to go."

"You'll go when I say you go.Now what I want from you is a weekly visit, I get special visitation privileges, you will come back on Saturday and ask to see me.Are we clear?"

"Just a visit? Why."She couldn't understand why he would want her to visit.

"Let's just say I'm lonely. You come to see me on Saturday and Caleb will not be hurt.If however you decide not to come for whatever reason, I will personally disfigure your brother’s face."Mariyah closed her eyes for a second trying to absorb all the information.

"Just a visit?”She asked feeling for some reason like she was being duped.

"Just a visit."Nodding her head she agreed. Not that she really had much of a choice."Randall, make sure she don't get frisked heavy when she comes back.Tell the other fuckers to lay off."

"Sure thing boss."What the hell was this system? An inmate telling the prison guard what to do.

"If there is nothing else, may I please go?"He looked at her, he gave her a drop dead gorgeous smile. If he wasn't the scariest person she had ever come across she would have melted.

"Go."Not waiting for him to change his mind, Mariyah hurried back to the guards standing at the exit to be allowed out.Once she was outside, she inhaled and exhaled deeply. She should have listened to Caleb and not come at all.Now she had to play along with this Zak Michaels in order to protect Caleb.Thank God he was in prison, otherwise she could only imagine what he would do to her.

How the hell was she going to pull this off and what the hell could he possibly want to talk to her about? How strange was it to visit a stranger?Only time would tell what he wanted, maybe he really was lonely and wanted some company, it was a long shot but what else could it be?

Mariyah had a sickening feeling, Saturday was upon them and she was dreading her upcoming visit with Zak Michaels. She had spoken to Caleb during the week and apparently this week had been the best week so far, he told her that maybe the year wouldn't be as bad as he had earlier anticipated. He said that everybody had backed away from him and he wasn't being hassled anymore and that he was even able to call without inmates forcing him to the back of the line like they usually did.He had no clue why things had improved almost overnight but whatever the reason Caleb didn't want to tempt fate so he was grateful and would continue to keep a low profile.

Mariyah didn't have the heart the tell him about her run in with Zak, if that's what it took to make his stay more bearable, then she would sacrifice for a year and meet up with Zak, she would discuss anything he wanted, whatever it took she would do.Caleb deserved her help, it was the least she could do.

Opting to wear a simple summer dress which came just above her knees, it had spaghetti straps, the top part of the dress was a straight cut above her breast, it showed no cleavage at all and was a pretty tame outfit, perfect for her prison visit. She made no effort at all to look nice.No makeup and her hair was plaited to keep it off her face.Nothing at all draw attention.Oh how the times had changed… Once upon a time Mariyah would have done anything to get all the attention in the world… Now… Well now she wanted to be downright invisible.

No use delaying the inevitable, it had to be done, so off she went to meet up with a convict who she knew absolutely nothing about except the fact that he could make her brother’s life a living hell in prison if she didn't do as he asked.Mariyah could hit herself for going to visit Caleb. She should have listened to him.A little too late for should of Mariyah, just get it over and done with...

Once at NorthMead Correction Faculty, Mariyah was a starting to get nervous, what could she possibly talk to Zak about? She would do whatever she needed to get through with it, just get in Mariyah and be done with it.

"State the name of the prisoner."The guard asked her coldly.

"Um Zak Michaels."He looked up at her and raised an eyebrow."Sign here and here."Mariyah did as she was asked, the guard led her inside to get scanned."Okay this way."Once inside Mariyah started to feel uneasy about this whole agreement. She moved along following the guard.Mariyah remembered protocol but the guard directed her a different way.

"Um excuse me, I'm here for a visit, I don't understand where we're going."The officer turned around looking at her oddly.

"You did say Zak Michaels?"Mariyah nodded her reply."Then this way."The office continued on and led her to a completely different part of the building and out some doors, then outside and through another gate to a free standing building. The guard entered the code and the door beeped open."You have an hour."Mariyah walked in looking at the guard very confused, this was not how she visited Caleb last week. The guard quickly closed the door and re-entered the code obviously locking Mariyah in.

Looking at the almost empty room she began to panic, the walls were padded and in the corner of the room was a bed along with a couple of chairs and a table. That was it… One bed, a table and two chairs.

Suddenly Mariyah felt like she had just been hit across her head, this was one of those visits where married couples were allowed to get intimate once a month or something along those lines.

She needed to get out and fast, Zak led her to believe that it would just be a normal visit of sorts!
