Jonah enters the war room first, skidding inside. I slow my pace and walk in behind him. I stutter to a stop, however, when I findSophia, Blanche, Rose, and Dottie sitting at the large conference table, and The Pharaoh leaning against the wall.
“Sweetling.” I round the table, bend down and kiss Sophia. I pull back with a grin and whisper, “What a pleasant surprise.”
“Mmm.” She hums, slowly opening her eyes and smiling at me. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” I stand up and find Yakov staring at the two of us with a harsh expression. To the common observer, he would appear mad. He always looks disgruntled to some degree. But my dick perks up because I know he’s picturing Sophia and I naked, tangled in our sheets. He adjusts himself subtly, licking his lips. Or maybe he’s picturing the two of us on our knees worshipping his cock.

Tev bumps Yak. “Aren’t you gonna greet your man with a kiss?”

He grins with a shake of his head. “Yakov already submitted it all. It’ll take 7 to 10 business years to process, so you’ll need to abstain in the meantime.” Yak grunts his amusement, while I laugh. Sophia looks between Moshe and me with alarm. I wink to let her know it’s all good. “Alright, Goldman Girls, you called this meeting. Why are we here?” My eyebrows rise at that information. I look at Yak next to me, but he shrugs, just asclueless as I am why they asked for a meeting, let alone why I’ve been included.
Surprising me even more, Sophia stands up, remote in her hand and gestures to the screen on the wall. My flabbers continue to gast with every slide and word out of her mouth. 20 minutes later, I’m still shocked. And excited. And super fucking horny for our girl.
The Goldman Girls propose the following: The Kosher Nostra and Goldman Girls Realty establish an American Rugby Union team. There is land for sale adjacent to King’s Mountain Casino that would be a prime location for a new multi-sport complex to serve as the home of the men’s Charlotte Seething Squirrels rugby team and the Angry Dam Beavers, a female rugby team. In addition to the existing luxury hotel at the casino, two Kosher Nostra owned boutique hotels would be built, along with the stadium, restaurants, and clubhouse. The stadium will be offered to area teams and can be easily adapted to accommodate different sports, as well as being used for tournaments and concerts to draw in visitors. The Goldman Girls will be the major sponsor of the teams; however, they do not have the capital and funding for the landandbuild. I decline the financial packet Dottie provides, letting the others look over the numbers, expected revenue, and profit margins. I don’t care about any of that. The Kosher Nostra is already a well-known entity in the city and state, and another legitimate business to add to their growing portfolio would increase their approval among the masses.
“Is there a draw for rugby in the area beyond a collegiate level?” Aaron, Ezra and Zeppo’s dad, asks without looking up from the packet.
“Charlotte is already a sports rich location with professional football, basketball, soccer and minor league baseball andhockey with plenty of patrons and potential players. We believe a tie-in with the casino will draw additional attention to create a destination experience.” Aaron nods absently at Sophia, but I give her a broad grin and thumbs up.
Steven tosses the packet on the table and sits back in his chair. “Any particular players in mind?” He glances at me with a smirk.
Blanche drums her fingers on the table. “Christopher Montgomery plays in a rec league with Deker and Astin. They are quite good.”
“Sophia is fu—dating Monty.”
I stiffen in my seat at Zilv’s implication and Yak growls. Blanche pins him with a hard glare. “Do I strike you as the type of woman who would put my own money on the line out of obligation to my sister’s pussy pounder? Do you know anything about rugby?” Zilv reluctantly shakes his head. “Then keep your mouth shut, the adults are talking.”
“I hate that she’s a lesbian,” Zilv mutters dejectedly.
“No, you hate that you aren’t one,” Ezra corrects him. Zilv thinks about it for a moment and nods in agreement.
“Monty,” I look away from Sophia’s lips, and focus on David. He might be Moshe, Ruthie, and Zilv’s dad, but he is as close to a father as I have ever had. “Tell them.”
With a sigh, I glance at Sophia once more, then Yak. His lips twitch with the hint of an encouraging smile. “I played rugby in college. I was offered contracts from a few professional teams before I graduated, but I declined.”
“You had the chance to go pro, and you turned it down? Why?” Moshe stares at me earnestly, his confusion echoed by several others around the table.
“Charlotte didn’t have a team.”
“So? You move.”
“No.” I look right at Yak. “My home is here.”
“You chose to put your life in danger instead?”
“I chose my family.” Clearing my throat, I continue. “The men I play with in the rec league…many of them are incredibly talented and would love the opportunity to join a semi-professional team.”
“Blanche, Masud, and I will oversee the team, find staff and coaches, and organize tryouts. Rose will cover marketing and Dottie will take point on the financials. We can broker a good deal for the land. The Mishpocheh Consortium will need to discuss potential partnerships with the King’s Mountain Casino, hire construction crews, and cut through the red tape for permits, licenses, etc. We believe the complex could be finished in under two years. In the meantime, we can establish a team and perhaps work out an agreement with the universities in the area that have dedicated rugby grounds with the caveat, they can utilize our stadium once the construction is complete.”
