Kelly Lloyd.
Tomboy, Kel.
Sarcastic little shit, Kel.
Kelly used to hang with me and my friends at school and after. Me and the boys didn’t mind because she wasn’t a typical schoolgirl who took hours to get ready. Totally the opposite inappearance and attitude. Kelly was flat chested and straight as a board, hair in a ponytail and ball cap. She wasn’t who me and the guys wanted to date and screw.
Besides, Kelly would have beaten our asses if we’d tried anything inappropriate. Not that she needed to worry because none of us were attracted to her. She was cute in a tomboy way and way cool in a badass way. I liked her, just didn’t want to mess around with her.
Tomboy Kel had made fun of her female peers because they were obsessed with frivolous things like their beauty, weight, and boys. But not Kel. She could eat as much as most dudes and talked about sports. She had brains too and was way smarter than me and the guys.
Hell, Kelly taught me how to fix a flat tire. Embarrassing, right? Her dad had raised her to be self-reliant and capable. He didn’t want her to depend on a man to fix things. It made sense because he was a truck driver and gone a lot. Kelly and her mom needed to know how to do things men typically did around the house.
What ever happened to Kelly Lloyd?
I took out my phone and started to type her name into the search bar when Letty’s arms wrapped around me and made me drop my phone.
“What the hell, Letty?” I picked up my device and accidentally exited out of the page I was on. “Get off me, woman.”
“Sorry, babe,” she said and backed away.
“Isn’t it time to go back and check on Cass?” Slay asked as if he needed permission to return to his room. “I finished my food like a good boy.” He winked at Silvia.
“Nobody is keeping you away from your girl,” Silvia replied. She eyed Letty and wrinkled her nose. Silvia tolerated the club bunnies, but they weren’t the best of friends. Slay’s girl knewsomething about it. Suzy used to be Slay’s go-to, much like Letty had been mine.
For years, my brothers and I had loads of fun with the club girls. Some parties were like big orgies. We could be with whoever we wanted but after Prez met his wife, Silvia, things slowly started to change. Not that change was bad. It was just different.
“Cool. I’m out.” Slay was off his barstool and gone in a flash.
“I assume you don’t want me to come to your room tonight?” Letty whispered near my ear.
“I don’t know.” Not true. I did know that I didn’t want her in my room, but I didn’t want her to make a scene in front of Jefe and Silvia.
My pain meds were doing their job. I felt pretty good, but even so, I was afraid of being humiliated. There was nothing worse than having a pretty girl like Letty deep throating your soft cock and not being able to come down it.
“Okay. You don’t have to decide now.” She sat next to me and placed her hand on my thigh as if I belonged to her. I didn’t like it but wasn’t about to do anything about it.
“Silvia,” Slay called from the entrance of the bar. “Nurse Kelly is asleep. I don’t want to wake her up. Can you do it?”
“Of course.” Silvia smiled. “Wanna come with me?” she asked Jefe.
“Baby, I’ll go anywhere with you.” He took her hand and the three of them left, leaving me and Letty seated at the bar.
“It’s taken me a while, but I like Jefe and Silvia together,” Letty said. “They’re perfect together and I bet Slay and Cass will be too. Those women don’t know how lucky they are to have men who love them and are devoted to them.”
Jesus, what was I to say to that?
If Letty was dropping hints that she wanted me to claim her, she’d be waiting until hell froze over—not happening in this lifetime.
Yeah, I sounded like an asshole but in my current state, I didn’t give a damn about having an old lady or being alone until I died. I didn’t need anyone, especially not my estranged family or a needy chick, because I had my MC family.
My life was already complicated. A woman would only make me more miserable than I already was with a dead dick.
I missed the way things used to be before the garbage truck destroyed me and my body.
“Did you hear me?” Letty asked.
“No. Lost in my own thoughts.” I had to lie to spare her feelings. “I need to take a leak.”
