I’ve been busy, but it was only to make sure this surprise was perfect for her. She has no idea that I’m planning to propose to her in the morning, and having the wedding that evening in front of her dad, Claire, and all my family that came with me. Her rings are burning a hole in my pocket as we speak.

I move to go to her, but Sutton stops me.

“It’s just one more day. She’ll be fine and understand once she sees you.” I nod and watch as she finishes checking in.

Sutton and I head in different directions, and I carefully watch as the three women walk over towards the elevators. As they approach the lift, Raegan says something to the other two then walks over to a slot machine and sits down. She pulls out a bill and places it in the machine, and I pounce as I watch the elevator doors close on Sutton and Ivy, leaving me alone with my woman.

I stalk up behind her and see she’s hit some cherry line and it lights up, giving her a fifty dollar credit. I can see her reflection in the screen and can’t help but smile at her jovial expression at winning.

“I think I’ve received a better cherry than this machine is offering,” I lean over and whisper in her ear.

Raegan turns around and practically leaps over the chair when she hears my voice.

“Kane!” She hugs me tight around the neck, and I feel like shit for making her doubt that I want to be with her. “What are you doing here?”

“We have some business here in Las Vegas. Remember the run I had to do,” I tell her.

“Oh.” Her face drastically changes to sadness.

I can’t take it another minute.

“Come, take a walk with me.” I reach my hand out for her. She’s hesitant for a second but locks her fingers in mine.

I lead her through the lobby and down a long hallway to a set of doors that lead out to a garden area. We walk through the lush greenery and go through an archway and up to a stone structure where I had all this planned for tomorrow morning, but fuck it.

Letting her sit down on one of the stone benches, I take a deep breath.

It’s now or never, Stone.

“Raegan, I know I’ve been distant these past few weeks, but it was because I had something very important to set up, and I wanted it to go smoothly.” Another deep breath. “I’ve never had someone like you in my life, and it’s completely taken me by surprise. Never did I imagine that finding love or being loved in this lifestyle was an option for me. I think you complement me in every way possible while challenging me at every turn. I want you to know that there never is or will be another woman in my life but you.”

From the soft lighting around the stone chapel, I see tears welling up in her eyes. I have a tight hold on her hand so that she can’t feel the shakiness that’s coursing through my body.

“Raegan, I know this relationship happened fast, but I promise you that not a day will go by that I won’t cherish or tell you that I love you. I plan to show you every day just how much love I have for you.”

I wipe the tears that are now streaming down her cheeks with the pad of my thumb.

“Will you do me the honor to not only love me every day but also to marry me?” I ask getting down on one knee and wait with bated breath for her answer.

What feels like a lifetime, but is really only mere seconds, she brings up her hands and covers her mouth as I present her with the ring I’ve picked out for her. She’s not looking at the rings but at my face.

Nodding several times she finally speaks, “Yes! Yes, Kane, I will marry you! Yes!”

I waste no time slipping the engagement ring on her finger while smothering her cheeks with my hands and kissing the fuck out of her. She wraps her arms around my neck as I stand us both up and swing her around in a circle. Best day of my life.

Not wasting any more time, I pull out my phone and press the button I put in not too long ago.

“Ox, change of plans. I want it to happen right now. We’ll meet you down by the doors.”

After hanging up, I catch Raegan viewing her ring and can’t keep the smile off her face. I grab her hand and lead us back in the door of the hotel and right in front of the double doors where we met all the mob bosses earlier this evening with my brothers. He gets there within five minutes and has an older woman with him.

“Stone, this is Claudia; she’ll be assisting Miss Walker with whatever she needs.”

“Kane, what is going on?” Raegan asks staring at both of the people standing in front of us.

“I want to marry you right now, Raegan. I don’t want to wait another day or another minute of you not being my wife and seal you to me in every way.”

“This is crazy!” she gushes and searches my face like she is looking for something. “What about a dress and our families?”
