“Muthafucker, focus, with your in love ass. Did you hear what the fuck I just said?” Los retorted.
“Yeah, I heard you, but the same way you ain’t stressing your shit, I’m not stressing mine. Rip can talk all he wants, but we both know it won’t ever be anything but that, talk. He ain’t trying to die and fucking with me is the fastest path to making that happen.”
Los smirked and nodded. “You right,” he replied but his eyes were on Maddie. His ass was grinning like a fool.
“Ay, what’s up? Y’all seem mighty cozy. You trying to slow down for her?”
“Maybe, but we still new. I’m just rolling with it for now.”
“She know that? ’Cause the way she looking at you makes me think her mind is made up.”
“Word, you think she feeling me like that?”
“Your ass. The fuck is up with that? I thought you were just rolling with it.”
“Shit, I am, but that don’t mean I don’t want to know what’s up. She talks to Sophie about me?”
“Hell, I don’t gotdamn know. Ask Sophie, you act like we sit around discussing your ass. Trust, that ain’t the case. The only man she’s worried about is me.”
“See, there you go with all that. You sound jealous as fuck right now, Troop. That’s the beginning of the end. Two point five. I’m just saying.”
“Oh, how cute. What’s this, a double date?”
Los and I looked up when we heard Orin’s voice. That was the last thing I needed. I wasn’t in the mood to fuck up her life but I would.
“Ah shit, I hope you know how to handle her ass, Troop.”
Los and I both started toward Orin standing with the same muthafucker she had been with at the black-tie event.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me. So that wasn’t just a one-time thing, you’re really dating him, Maddie?” Dude moved closer to her with both hands in his pockets as he glared her way.
I checked Los real quick and this fool was moving faster than me.
“Yes, but what difference does it make? You’re obviously dating that, so we’ve both moved on, which is what you wanted, right?”
“The fuck am I missing?” I mumbled as we got to them.
“Ay, we got a problem, fam?”
“I am not your anything and definitely not your fam,” dude said, scowling at Los who had inserted himself between Maddie and dude.
Los looked him up and down then spoke. “Your bitch ass. Yo, who dis, Maddie?”
“I’m her husband. Who the fuck are you?”
“Oh, so you the pussy trying to fuck her out of what she deserves? Damn, Maddie, you said he was weak, but I didn’t think you meant this muthafucking weak. No wonder he couldn’t make you cum.” Los grinned and moved closer to dude.
I listened to them carrying on, ready to move on dude if need be, but kept my eyes on Orin. I could tell from the look on her face she was out for blood. It was about to be a problem. Sophie was on her feet, standing next to Maddie, now behind Carlos, like she was about to defend her girl. I moved next to Sophie, knowing I would have to defend her from Orin, either verbally or physically.
“This has got to be a joke, but then again, I’m not surprised. When I married you I couldn’t make you something you weren’t. I’m not even upset about that, but since you’ve moved on as stated, we don’t have to worry about you getting shit from me. Infidelity is a term of the prenup you signed. Let him take care of you.” Dude took a step back and glared at her.
“You’s a soft, weak ass, pussy muthafucker. You mad ’cause she finally got some real dick in her life. A man willing to make her happy and you trying to cheat her out of what she earned. Ain’t you with that bitch?” Los said and pointed at Orin.
“Earned? She didn’t earn anything. I’m the one with the career, all she ever did was complain and spend my money. Who I’m with is no concern of…”
Los nailed his ass hard as hell, right in the face, and dude fell back over the ottoman behind him. It was funny as shit.
“Fuck you and your money. She’ll be good. Trust,” Los said and grabbed Maddie’s hand. “Ay, we’re out. I’ll hit you later, Troop.”
