Sofia: It’s kinda late. Wanted to make sure you were ok
Me:I’m fine. Well not now that you’ve put that visual in my head. Anyway, I have a lot to tell you tomorrow. Just wanted you to know I had a talk with God, and I’ll be in church next week.
Vicky:That’s incredible! And an answered prayer. Can’t wait to hear all about it. U went out w Niko tonight, right?
Me:Technically. Although it felt like a date at some point. It’s confusing.
Sofia:Did he make a move??
Vicky:Sof why are u still texting??
Sofia:Luke is sulking but I told him to go away and give me a minute He’s got some new moves he wants to show me.
Me: You do know Luke is like my brother and that’s gross, right?

Me:Ew, ew, ew. You’re both ridiculous right now! And let me tell ya. Neither of your men hold a candle to what I just experienced.
Sofia:Wait, what?? Thought it wasn’t a date! And Vicky, don’t start comparing the brothers cause mine will win. Hands down.
Vicky:Did Luke just steal your phone?
Me:All I’m gonna say is…wrist kisses

Sofia:Is she gone? Luke says he’s about to hide my phone. Leyla???
I laughedand shut off my phone, mostly because I felt bad for poor Luke. They’d hear the whole thing tomorrow anyway. There was no way I could keep that all to myself.
Just before I drifted off to sleep, Niko texted.
Niko:Mike is fine. It was a slight break and he will need a cast for several weeks. Sends his apologies again.
Me:Oh, poor guy. Tell him not to worry. Let me know if I can help.
Niko:Thanks, but I’ve got him. He’s the biggest baby when he’s hurt. You don’t want to see that. I’ll see you in the morning.
Me:See you. Good night.
Niko:Good night. And Leyla, I had a great time tonight.
I kicked my feet under the covers and giggled.
