Sawyer’s jaw dropped.I’m the first? Holy fuck! Wait until I tell Mac.
“My mate has a point,” Alex said. “Can someone find a cloaked person by smell?”
“No. The cloak makes a person invisible in all ways,” Oracle said. “The best way to describe it is the cloak envelopes a person so he cannot be found through any senses such as smell, sight, touch, or hearing. It is the ultimate form of invisibility.”
“O.M.G.” Alex shouted. “Sawyer, you have to accept it! It’s an incredible gift! It won’t affect our mating at all. My dragon loves it.”
“But what about Glenn’s tiger?” asked Sawyer.
“I don’t see a problem, do you, tiger mate?”
“No…but she hasn’t told us everything,” Glenn said.
Shifting his gaze to Oracle, Sawyer asked, “What else can the gift do?”
“The other part of the gift allows you to see through anything that is blocking your vision whether it is airborne such as smoke, or fluid such as water, or solid such as stone. There isn’t anything that will be able to block your vision, so you will be able to see as clearly as if it were daylight,” Oracle explained.
Sawyer was gob smacked. It’s a mistake. It has to be.Why would the Fates pickme to be the first paranormal to receive this powerful gift…there’s nothing special about me…hell I don’t even have a college degree.Anyof my brothers would be more deserving… they’re smart and talented, something I’m not.
Jumping up and pumping his fist, Alex shouted, “Yaasss! This is awesome!” Bending down, he hugged Sawyer, giving him a kiss. “I’m so proud of you, love. My dragon told me how special you are and this proves it. Holy cow! The Fates picked you…you, Sawyer…the first one ever…for this amazing gift!”
Rising, Glenn stepped over to Sawyer, pulling him up from the sofa into his arms, whispering, “Alex is right…you are special and I’m so proud to be your mate.”
Looking into Glenn’s eyes, Sawyer searched them and, finding what he was looking for, smiled at his mate. Whatever issues his mate had with his gift were gone and Sawyer saw only the truth of Glenn’s words reflected back at him. “Thank you…I was worried…never mind.”
“No, don’t do that. Tell me what’s worrying you,” Glenn murmured.
Shrugging his shoulders, Sawyer muttered, “Uh…I thought you would regret claiming me.”
“Never! You. Are. Mine! Always will be! And I’m so lucky the Fates deemed me worthy enough for you. If I gave you any other impression, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean too. It’s just my damn need to protect what’s mine,” Glenn said softly, with a smile. “I tend to be possessive of the ones I love.” Spreading his arms wide, he waited until Alex joined them before wrapping them around both his mates, Glenn said, “Never think for one moment, I’m not exactly where I want to be and with whom I want to be with. I love you both so damn much.”
Reaching down, Alex placed his hand over Glenn and Sawyer’s butts, giving them a light squeeze. “Glad toknow that because it’s ditto for me, too.” Then twisting around, Alex looked at Oracle. “My mate will be keeping his gift.”
“I am?” asked Sawyer, teasingly.
“Oh, you most certainly are…isn’t that right Glenn?”
“There isn’t a chance in hell we’d allow you to give it up,” smiled Glenn.
Looking over his shoulder at Oracle, Sawyer grinned. “You heard my mates, I’m keeping my gift. Be sure to thank the Fates for me, willya?”
Smiling at the happy scene before her, Oracle said, “I will, indeed.”
Turning back to his mates, Sawyer murmured, “What’s on the schedule for the rest of the day?”
“Glenn,” Oracle said, before anyone could answer Sawyer’s question, “I also have a gift for you.”
“What?” Leaning to look around Sawyer, Alex focused on Oracle, surprise written on his face. “What do you mean? I thought you were only here for Sawyer? Oh my gods, my other mate is getting a gift, too?” Whipping his head back to look at Sawyer, he asked, “Did you know about this?”
Shaking his head, Sawyer replied, “No…Hunter only told me he thought I’d get a gift…he never said anything about my mates.”
Shifting his gaze to Oracle, Glenn said, “I already have my gift.”
“You do?” asked Sawyer.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Alex asked, giving Glenn’s butt a pinch. “That’s not nice.”
“It’s no biggie…not like Sawyer’s. And I was going to tell you, but if you haven’t noticed, I was busy claiming my mates,” Glenn said with a leer.
