“Relax, brother,” Diesel cut in. “I don’t want Tennysee.”
“Ouch,” Kearney, one of Heidi’s besties, crowed.
“Sucks for you,” Cricket added, the strawberry blonde partner in crime among those three.
“Hush!” Tauriel ordered, commanding attention even at nineteen.
Fia was the only one whose age kept changing. Jana had heard a rumor that Fia would turn twenty in a few weeks, while another claimed her twenty-first birthday was near.
“Diesel’s just being loyal to Narci.” Fia grinned, her bottom lip fuller than the top. “Catch him in a weak moment and he’ll fuck Tennysee.”
Diesel lifted a brow at Jana, as if he expected her to say something. What could she say, though? She didn’t want him to constantly go with other girls, but neither did she want to seem ungrateful. He’d chosen her as his next wife when he had his pick of anyone. He deserved her loyalty and understanding.
Besides, she was pretty, but Fia, Tennysee, Tauriel, Heidi, Cricket, and Kearney werestunning with bodies to kill for. Few women could compete with them.
“If you want to fuck Tennysee, we can hit it together, D.,” Narci suggested into the lull, immediately piquing Jana’s curiosity. “I don’t mind sharing her with you.”
“Fucking asshole,” Diesel said, laughing. “You’re acting as if she belongs to you.”
“I was thinking the same thing,” Torrin said. Men were the same everywhere. Even decent ones like Diesel and his friends. “When, motherfucker, I swear you’ve told everyone you don’t want an old lady.”
Heidi grabbed Narci’s beer and chugged it. Just a few weeks ago, Jana would’ve done something similar with Diesel. She had stolen food from his plate. Right now, their relationship wasn’t stable enough for such liberties. Most days, he forgot she existed. At least she was safe and out of harm’s way, but she missed him so much.
“He specifically said he doesn’t wantheras an old lady.” Curling her lip, Heidi thrust her chin at Tennysee. “Or was that my imagination?”
Tennysee shoved back from her seat and popped to her feet, running from the table.
“Fucking bitch,” Tauriel spot, standing and hurrying behind her friend.
Narci glared at Heidi.
“Was it something I said?”
“I’d say so,” Cricket said with a cackle. “Two less cunts to compete with.”
Heidi, Cricket, and Kearney turned their attention to Jana and she shrank down. Diesel grabbed the nearly empty bottle of tequila and finished it off.
Before anyone else spoke, Kaia Riggs stumbled to the table, which buoyed Jana’s spirits. His pretty jacket was gone, but the red sweater brought out his purple ringed blue eyes and dark hair. His hoop earrings made him even sexier. Sitting taller, she ran her fingers through her hair. Earlier, he’d been the only one to compliment her.
“What the fuck do you fucking want, boy?” Torrin demanded.
Potter gave a short, shrill whistle. “Fuck with him at your own fucking risk. He’s off-limits.”
Torrin scowled.
Smiling nastily, Diesel looked Kaia up and down. “I’m going to find a way to not only fuck with you, but to fucking kill you,” he whispered, his low tone deepening his voice and making it more threatening.
“I don’t want trouble,” Kaia muttered, still not noticing Jana, though she sat right next to Diesel. “I need to talk to Fia.”
Diesel glanced between Fia and Kaia, then smirked. “You need her to suck your fucking cock. I wonder what Rebel will say about that.”
“I just need to talk to Fia,” Kaia said with a little more force. “It doesn’t have anything to do with my cock.”
“You’re a liar,” Diesel told him, staring at Fia, who seemed on the verge of tears. “You arranged a hook-up with Rebel’s boyfriend, you little cunt?”
“Hey!” Kaia said. “Don’t talk to her like that.”
Growling, Diesel rose to his feet and barreled around the table, ignoring Jana’s attempts to catch his hand and stop him.
