"Come on, let’s go shower. I need to get ready for a meeting."

"Must we? Can't we stay in bed all day?"

"I wish, baby, but the brat wants to go to Milan today. Are you still going to try to come up to New York next month?"

"If you want me to?" I smile shyly at him.

"If I want? Woman, I want you!"

He pulls me up off the bed with him and carries me to the bathroom.

The rest of the morning we spend making love in the shower. I watch him dress in another black suit with a thin black tie and white shirt. I watch him arm himself and squirm through the whole process.

"Baby, keep doing that and we won't be leaving this room."

"I can't help it. Watching you put guns and knives on turns me on."

"Please stop, woman." He groans as he turns to look at me. "You dressed in leather turns me on."

I smile as I look down at my brunch outfit. Brown tweedwide-leg slacks, a camisole top in plum paisley, a black leather slim fit jacket, and plum strappy high heels.

"So you like?" I twirl for him and he grabs me.

"I like you best naked and under me. But yes, I like you in this."

He leans forward and nips my bottom lip. I open and we kiss like we won't see each other for a while, which is true. My tongue slides into his mouth, memorizing every inch of it. My hands slide into his hair, pulling it slightly as his tongue takes over my mouth. He pulls back with a groan.

"I need to meet the guys down in the restaurant, and you want to keep us secret, so guess we part here."

My gut clenches. I want to be on his arm. I want people to know about him and me, but I know that it would hurt the ones I love.

With a deep sigh, I pull away. "Okay, I'll head out first. I'll see you next month. Goodbye." I grab my bags and head for the door, feeling like the world is caving in around me.

Duncan grabs me from behind and swings me around. "It's never goodbye," he declares as he kisses me again. I pull away, averting my eyes and turn to open the door.

I'm going to have to put a stop to these feelings soon. I can't kill him too.

As I wait for the valet to bring my truck, I turn to see Duncan enter the lobby with the Hispanic man from last night.

"Hello, lassie, didn't I see you at the gala last night?" I turn around to see a blond man standing behind me. I step away and recognize him as one of Duncan's teammates. The man is as muscular as Duncan but not as tall.

"I believe you have me mistaken for someone else. Later."

I walk up to the valet and tip him as I turn to see Duncan standing in the entrance, watching me. I want to nod my head at him. I want to blow him a kiss, but I was the one who put these restrictions on our relationship.

"I never forget a beautiful lass," the blond says, trying to follow me.

"Ian, leave the woman alone," Duncan practically growls.

I swing up into my truck, turn on the music loud, and open my window and sunroof. Nickelback's “S.E.X” blares through the speakers. I turn to see Duncan smiling at me as I pull into traffic.

"Where have you been?"Greg demands as I sit down at the table.

"I was at the hotel." I'm still smiling, thinking about the message I left for Duncan as I pulled away.

"I called, they didn't have you registered."

"I used a false name."
