“I want to tell my mom,” I hear myself saying. “About us. Can… Would you two go with me?”
“Absolutely,” Ben says.
Parker nods. “Of course.” They cock their head. “There’s no rush, though. We can do it when you’re ready.”
My stomach gives a hard lurch, fear crawling up my throat. But if Parker can be brave and trust in this—inus—then I can be brave too.
Chapter 20
Benson
Devon, Levi, and I are piled in the living room watching a movie. Well, they’re watching a movie, and I’m watching them.
I’ve been curious about them and their relationship for a while. Not that it’s any of my business, but I get the feeling there’s more going on behind closed doors than they let on.
“Do you have any plans tonight?” Devon asks, not taking his eyes off the TV or his fingers out of Levi’s wavy blond hair.
“Not tonight.”
For some reason, we decided as a group that maybe it would be best to stay in our own places. I have to admit that it’s not the best. Not that I don’t enjoy hanging out with Devon and Levi, of course. I do, but it’s definitely more fun being with Parker and Landon.
“You haven’t been around much lately. Only long enough to grab clothes and leave again,” Levi says, letting out a jaw-splitting yawn.
“Yeah, I know. I’m seeing…” Someone? Someones? People? “I’ve been seeing a couple of people.”
Devon snorts. “A couple? One not enough for you, man?”
“Nope. Not with these two. Couldn’t choose between them if I tried.”
My phone buzzes, lighting up on the coffee table, and when I see that it’s a message in our group chat, I nearly dive forward to grab it.
Cutie
today’s my birthday.
Me
What? Why didn’t you say anything?
Cotton Candy
Yeah, what gives?
Cutie

Me
What do you want to do?
Cutie

Cotton Candy
