“Yeah, that’s the one. Anyway, I fucked up. Dad made a deal with her stepfather and it was Vlad and Vegah who saved my ass from being tortured by my dad. Courtney offered me a way out of this, but the truth is, I have no idea what I would do without this life. I’m not smart and driven like Courtney. Vlad is ruthless, controlled and precise with everything he does. He’s the one who would make a good don. My uncle… I don’t know. Vegah is quiet and keeps to himself but he’s always been good to us. Loyal to my father even though Dad hates him because he prefers the company of men over women.”
“You love your brothers and uncle,” Jenna states.
He nods. “Yeah. That’s why I can’t let my dad pin all of this on Vlad. He looks up to our father and if he found out what Dad was trying to do, he would be fucking gutted. V thinks I don’t know that he’s into uncle Vegah’s boyfriend, but I do and I don’t care. This past year has opened my eyes to a lot of shit and honestly, Dad isn’t the person I thought he was.”
The indecision I was suffering from a moment ago vanishes. I know what I have to do to end this.
I pull the door open and stalk into the living room. Hunter spots me and jumps to his feet. Fear is plastered across his face at the sight of me, Vegah and Dimitri following after me. The sight of them standing beside me has his face paling. He flicks his gaze to Jenna and looks at her with utter betrayal.
“Truth or dare, Brother,” I grit out.
Hunter swallows and looks between the three of us before finally settling back on me. “Vladimir, please. I can explain?—”
“Truth or dare!” I shout, making Jenna jump in fright.
“Truth,” he breathes out.
“Are you with me or against me?”
His face pulls taut and he stands straighter. “With you, always.”
“Good. We’re not going to court.”
“What?”
“We’re not?” he and Jenna ask in unison.
I keep my focus on my brother as I answer. “No. We’re going to release the fucker in your trunk then we’re going to deal with our father.”
“Vlad, no—” Jenna snaps her mouth closed when I pin her with a scathing look.
“This is not up for discussion, Prosecutor. This is who we are. We’re the monsters you spend your life trying to put behind bars. You let us inside you knowing that.” She flinches at my cold words. “You knew we all had blood on our hands and you still wanted us. Stand there and judge all you want, but it won’t change the fact that my father is about to die.”
Her bottom lip begins to tremble and her eyes fill with tears. “Please. I can win this and put him away. You don’t have to do this!” she begs.
“We are who we are,” Dimitri says in a matter of fact tone.
She shakes her head. “I don’t believe that.”
“Don’t lie to yourself. You crave the darkness that festers inside each of us. You love it, which is why you kept coming back to the Dungeon so you could find us. You wanted your fix like an addict.” Tears fall down her cheeks at Vegah’s harsh words. “You’ve had no idea that we’ve been fucking you for weeks.”
She rears back. “What?” she breathes out in disbelief.
I reach out and grip the back of her neck and yank her against me. She struggles to get free, but I don't allow it. When Hunter suddenly develops a hero complex and tries to come to her aid, I pin my baby brother with a look that promises pain if he intervenes. “You stay the fuck out of this, Brother. She’s ours to deal with, not yours.” His eyes widen at my declaration but he backs off, allowing me to focus on the bitch in front of me. “The men were never fucking strangers. You were fucking us. We allowed you to have the illusion but the truth is, it was me who was the one who introduced your thirsty ass to fisting.” Horror flares in her eyes as the truth spills out of me.
“You bastards!” she sneers.
“The fact you’re hurt over us fucking you without you knowing it was us, even though you wished it was, shows how fucked up you are, not us,” Vegah adds.
“Breathe a word about this to anyone, or visit the Dungeon, and we’ll come back for you, Prosecutor. But, it won’t be to make ourselves at home between your legs, we’ll be putting a bullet between your eyes.” I release her with a shove. The broken look on her face has my gut twisting, but I smother that emotion. She may be perfect for us and fit all our needs but it can never happen. I look at the others. “Vegah, you’re with me. D, go with Hunter and dispose of our friend, then meet us at the house.”
Vegah smiles proudly at me, which has me frowning. “Now, you sound like a true don. Let’s go fuck shit up. I’m itching to recoup my pound of flesh from your father.”
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
JENNA
I’ve spent the past two days on my sofa, eating my fill of takeout.
