“Does Courtney know that your father is trying to pin everything on Vegah and Vlad?”

“No way. Courtney wants nothing to do with this life. He went out on his own and started his own thing. He owns a few sex clubs around town.” My eyes widen, a pit forms in my gut as a niggling feeling hits me in the chest.

“Does he own the Dungeon?”

Hunter rears back and stares back at me in shock. “How the fuck does a girl like you know about that place?”

I ignore his question. “Does he own it or not?”

“Yeah.”

“Motherfuckers,” I hiss.

“What the fuck is going on with you?”

“My bosses haven’t reached an agreement. If they don’t come to one by Tuesday morning, then I go into trial as planned.”

He scratches the back of his head and shoots me a guilty look. “I have to tell you something,” he mutters.

“What the fuck did you do, Hunter?” I hiss.

“I may have hacked your emails and saw that Simon was on the fence.”

My eyes widen and my mouth pops open. “What the fuck did you do?”

“Any chance you want to help me carry your boss in? He’s in my trunk.”

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

VLADIMIR

I snap my head back in fucking shock at what I just heard.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Jenna shouts. I watch her through the crack in her bedroom door. It fucking grates on my nerves how comfortable my little brother seems with her. “You kidnapped my damn boss?”

“I thought I was helping,” he defends.

She throws her hands in the air as she paces the length of her living room.

“He’s a fucking idiot,” Vegah snarls, I shoot him a glare to keep his mouth shut.

“Did he see your face?” she asks him.

“Uh, no. I wore a mask,” he answers.

“Fucking Frondozos and their stupid masks,” she mutters to herself.

“What?” Hunter asks, confused. She ignores him as she continues to pace. I’m intrigued to see how she will handle this turn of events. She looks over at the clock hanging on the wall.

“Okay. It’s nearly eight o’clock. We wait till midnight, then we dump him somewhere in the outskirts of the city. We’ll take his wallet, phone and anything else he has on him and makeit look like a robbery.” I swallow my laughter. The law abiding citizen is a true criminal at heart. Good to know.

“No way. He needs to pick a side J, and I need him to pick ours.”

“Why the fuck do you care if your uncle and brother go down for your father?” That’s the question I have been dying to know the answer to since she told us he was her informant.

Hunter hangs his head in shame. “About a year ago, I fucked up badly. Dad wanted to murder me when he found out I let a chick I was dating handle the paperwork for our business. I did something and she saw me do it. Turns out her stepfather is the president of the Broken Cupid Brotherhood.”

“The motorcycle gang?” she asks.
