"I'm Lucian, and I would very much like to join you for a drink."
"I already have a drink."
What the hell am I doing? Why am I playing hard to get when I want to fuck this man senseless or rather have him do that for me.
"I thought you could use the company."
I catch myself before I tell him I might be waiting for someone. Yes, indeed, I'm waiting for someone. HIM.
"Take a seat, Lucian."
His movements are smooth and refined as he sits himself down across from me.
"I didn't catch your name."
"I'm not sure I should give it to you."
"Are we going to play this game all night long?"
"Perhaps I like games. Don't you?"
I watch his features as he considers my question. There's only a slight change which I could have missed if I wasn't paying attention the way I am.
"I like the direct approach."
My hands go to my drink so that they are busy and he doesn't see them shaking. I want this man. He's the man that will christen the honeymoon suite's bed with me.
"I'm here for a week."
"What a coincidence. So am I?"
"Let's take it one step at a time. Don't you think?"
"Smart and sexy, all wrapped into one."
"Now this is more of what I like to hear."
"I can be more direct if you like."
"I want to practice my flirting with you."
He leans forward across the table so that he becomes my entire world in that moment.
"From the moment I saw you sitting here, I've wanted to fuck you."
I feel the blood going to my cheeks as I blush profusely from his dirty words. I'm not sure how to respond, so I take a sip of my drink to calm myself down.
"You don't always get what you want in life. Didn't your mother teach you that?"
"No mom. Was raised by a single dad."
I shift uncomfortably. You never know when an awkward moment can arise like this one.
"No, don't take it back because it's difficult. Ask me something else."
"How often do you pick up women at hotel bars?"
He smiles at my implication that he does this as often as changing his underwear.
