“You like it?”
“I love it.”
“Baby,” I call him again, in an attempt to send those butterflies in his stomach again.
“Come here,” I laugh as he lifts me off my feet and carries me inside our room. He drops me on the bed gently, planting kisses on every part of my face.
“I fall in love with you again every day!” he expresses with a smile drawn across his face.
“I fall in love with you every minute!” I laugh.
“I fall in love with you every second!” he joins me in laughing before pulling me into a big teddy bear hug. “When are we going to the city tomorrow?” Dominic questions.
“Morning, what do you think?”
“Yeah, morning sounds great.”
We are visiting my mom tomorrow; she has been asking that we visit her. And I’ve promised her that we would visit her tomorrow. I remember the day I introduced Dominic to my mom; she was so proud of me. I told her I was going to find a good man when the time was right. And look at it, I wanted a good man, but I got a great man. His courtesy is one thing about him that I can never get over. It was why my mom liked him instantly too; he has this remark for respect. And Dominic is not rash like most of the men I’ve met; he does things in an orderly manner. He brings a smile to my face and laughter to my mouth.
“What’s going on in that mind of yours?” he asks me, poking my nose with his index finger.
“I’m just so excited that I met you. I wish I could marry you again,” I express with a pout, and his face breaks into laughter.
“You make me feel so special. I should be the one who should be thankful that I met you. You mean more than this world to me.” Dominic strokes my hair with his finger.
“You too! Let’s get some rest, so we would wake up early tomorrow, hm?”
“Yes, honey, we should.”
He pulls me to him, and I curl into my favorite sleeping position; right on his chest. I can never grow tired of this man.
Excitement spreads across my mom’s face when she sees us. She is so happy to see us, especially her grandson.
“Granny!” Jeremy gets down from Dominic’s arms and rushes to meet my mom.
“Oh, my sweet little boy!” my mom pulls him into a big hug and plants kisses on every part of his face.
Dominic and I stand there and watch them. Jeremy has not seen his grandma in months since we are so busy that we don’t often bring him to the city. And my mom does not like the weather in Crystal Mill either, so she does not visit all the time.
“Oh, come inside,” Mom turns to face us.
We walk inside the house, and as usual, she has made her tasty homemade meal. She baked Jeremy’s favorite cake too. It’s why Jeremy never wants to leave whenever he visits her. She pampers him in unimaginable ways. I’m certain he would want to spend his vacation here in the city with granny. Well, Dominic and I have agreed to allow him to spend his vacation with my mom. I’m sure my mom would love it too.
“Jeremy, do you want to spend your vacation with Gran?” I ask him.
“Yes, Mommy, yes, I want to spend my vacation with Granny, please,” he pleads.
“Aw, we know you would like to,” Dominic speaks, ruffling Jeremy’s blond hair with his hand.
“So, does that mean I can spend my vacation with Grandma?”
“Mm, yes, you can.” We nod at him.
“Yayy! Thanks Mom, thanks Dad,” Jeremy’s eyes widen with excitement.
“Come here, sweetheart,” my mom pulls him to her.
I know she would request that we let him spend his vacation with her even if we don’t suggest it.
